Levin: Staying home on Election Day? Don't pretend you're doing the 'moral' thing
CR ^ | October 10, 2016 | Phil Shiver

Posted on 10/15/2016 10:00:09 AM PDT by conservative98

“I’m starting to think about this morality stuff,” Conservative Review Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin said as he began his radio show Monday night. “Everything we do should involve morality … but let me ask you a question: If you were alive during George Washington’s times, would you have voted for George Washington?”

Levin then went on to list the moral failings of past politicians from the slave-owning founders, to the adulterous John F. Kennedy, to Bill Clinton himself, and so on.

“I’m not defending Donald Trump,” Levin exclaimed. “I’m trying to understand hypocrisy.” Referring to the Republican lawmakers that have since dropped their support for Donald Trump following the release of a 2005 video where Trump makes lewd remarks about women.

Levin never gave approval to what Trump said in the 2005 audio tape, in fact, he called it “disgusting” and “pathetic.” But he made clear he did not intend to join the “RINOs” who are using it as an excuse for pulling their support.

At the close of the clip, Levin declared, “It is NOT the moral and principled thing to do to stand down in this election ... It is NOT the conservative thing to do to stand down in this election.”

From the writings of Josephus after the Siege of Jerusalem.
This is what Conservative Radio is going to look like after the combined Obama/Clinton Machine gets done with it.

Now as soon as the army had no more people to slay or to plunder, because there remained none to be the objects of their fury (for they would not have spared any, had there remained any other work to be done), [Titus] Caesar gave orders that they should now demolish the entire city and Temple, but should leave as many of the towers standing as they were of the greatest eminence; that is, Phasaelus, and Hippicus, and Mariamne; and so much of the wall enclosed the city on the west side. This wall was spared, in order to afford a camp for such as were to lie in garrison [in the Upper City], as were the towers [the three forts] also spared, in order to demonstrate to posterity what kind of city it was, and how well fortified, which the Roman valor had subdued; but for all the rest of the wall [surrounding Jerusalem], it was so thoroughly laid even with the ground by those that dug it up to the foundation, that there was left nothing to make those that came thither believe it [Jerusalem] had ever been inhabited. This was the end which Jerusalem came to by the madness of those that were for innovations; a city otherwise of great magnificence, and of mighty fame among all mankind.[10]
And truly, the very view itself was a melancholy thing; for those places which were adorned with trees and pleasant gardens, were now become desolate country every way, and its trees were all cut down. Nor could any foreigner that had formerly seen Judaea and the most beautiful suburbs of the city, and now saw it as a desert, but lament and mourn sadly at so great a change. For the war had laid all signs of beauty quite waste. Nor had anyone who had known the place before, had come on a sudden to it now, would he have known it again. But though he [a foreigner] were at the city itself, yet would he have inquired for it.[11]

Fake? I’m quite certain I remember, oh wait 100% remember the boards blowing up because said Jr. Senator was THE ONLY Senator fighting Obama care and most willing to shut down the Government when the media, his colleagues and democrats were relentlessly bashing him in public. Yet...he didn’t waver an inch...how convienent to lambast him and state he hasn’t accomplished anything more worthy.

There is your mistake right there. Cruz wasn’t fighting. He was campaigning. And you lap up every spoonful of pablum Cruz dishes out.

If Ted Cruz REALLY was a fighter for us he would be using his every breath to defeat Hillary Criminal right now. That he is not tells you all you need to know about the genuineness of his conservatism.

I believe that contract was done last year. His website hits are taking a hit:
Mark Levin Show Website Traffic

That graph should be going UP in an election year. That’s pretty definitive proof that Levin’s anti-Trump tantrums have cost him big time. Trump supporters would have to be masochists to want to tune in and take those nightly beatings from Levin. Obviously they are saying no thanks.

I think that what he’s doing is reminding you that Levin’s conservative credentials are established, and stronger than Trump’s. Now, as a Trump supporter, you may get miffed now and then by what Levin is saying, but in that case welcome to politics.

I don’t need reminding about anyone’s conservative credentials.
Trump has EARNED his!!!!!!!!!!!

I could have more artfully and graciously composed my post to Jarhead....
.......but after seeing Mr. Trump take the slings and arrows 24/7 for over a year.....
....and after working my heart out supporting him and volunteering.....

I’m just really short on patience.

I will apologize for my ‘tone’......but Jarhead was definitely throwing insult at my chosen candidate and the people who support him!

“Where would Levin be today if Bernie had defeated Hillary? Would he be supporting the other Democrat communist? Or staying home on election day?”

Fair question—and I think the fair answer is he has been all over the place so I have no clue what he would say!

That is the problem for sure.

If you believe that Trump has “earned” his conservative credentials, then you should be happy that Levin is out there, pulling him farther to the Right.

Guenevere said: "I don’t need reminding about anyone’s conservative credentials. Trump has EARNED his!"

Perhaps you meant to say, "Republican credentials"?

I'm pretty much a single issue voter; the right to keep and bear arms. Trump sounds pretty good on this and has proposed Justices who would make all the difference in the world on the Supreme Court.

You know I raised this very issue this past week. I’m sick of listening to Levin trash Trump for not being Reagan, not being this or not being that. He is the ONLY viable candidate who seems to be FOR America rather than selling it out like the despicable criminal Hillary Clinton & her family of criminals. Levin is not doing Trump any good and therefore is not doing US any good. Trump ain’t perfect, but let the first perfect candidate step right up. I wanna see them.

DID the jr. senator succeed? What exactly was accomplished? The messy stuff is our so called public servants sell themselves to the highest bidder, donor, and make damn sure the campaign funds get paid OFF at the tax payers expense. We are 20 + trillion in debt thanks to our junior senators. We the people are government, and you call it populism... YOU have the wrong notion as to who pays the bills and who explicitly was to serve whom. But you carry on in your limited notion of what that word ‘conservative’ literally means. VAT tax Cruz was and is in his role as ‘public’ servant for the same cause/reason ol Hillry and her pervert husband have been. MILK US taxpayers and BS us like the used car sales peoples they literally are.

Mark Levin's website traffic numbers are even more interesting when compared to Sean Hannity:

Sean Hannity Show Website Traffic

Open each one in a separate browser tab and flip between them. Note the visual teeter-totter effect.
