John McCain: 'I might write in Lindsey Graham'
The Washington Examiner ^ | October 10, 2016 | Daniel Chaitin

During a debate Monday evening in Phoenix, Ariz., in which the Republican incumbent faced off against Democratic Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick, McCain revealed he just might write in a friend of his in the Senate.

"I think I might write in Lindsey Graham," McCain replied, referring to his fellow senator and former Republican presidential candidate. "He's an old, good friend of mine and a lot of people like him," he added with a smile.

In the 2002 congressional primary, in the 10th District, I wrote Gilda Torres (then-chairman of the Waukegan Township Republican Party), and I voted for her. Mark Kirk was unopposed, and I didn’t want to vote for him.

You really shouldn’t do that, every idle word it says. Not a fan of McCain but seriously, don’t go there

You are so right. Here, let me correct it:

DEAR HEAVENLY FATHER, please create a malignant PANCREATIC CANCER in John McCain, and bless it, and multiply it, and make it to prosper. May it be particularly painful, and may he writhe on the floor in sheer agony until the pain makes him vomit out his own intestines. Please, Lord God, keep him alive in in pure agony for decades, as he screams relentlessly and prays for death. In Your name I earnestly pray, AMEN.

The areas I corrected are in bold. Thank you for helping me be more holy.

That's funny, since here in Arizona many of us who support Donald Trump 100% are writing in Kelli Ward for AZ Senate. I really don't care if the Democrat Kirkpatrick is elected.

McCain is "the snake" Al Wilson wrote about in his song. McCain has been a coward since his days in Vietnam. They don't call him 'Songbird' for nothing!

I really hope this old fool loses. Then he can go on MSNBC with their three viewers and bash conservatives all day long.

Most states don’t even tabulate write-ins. It’s the same thing as acceding to Mrs. Bill, and he knows all that.

“Songbird” was also Sky King’s TV plane.

Just sit it out to show there will be a “drop off” from the presidential to the Senate tabulation.

Well, you are plain-spoken, and people in AZ and WI “respectfully” disagree.

Interesting idea, but they won’t tabulate stray write-ins.

I bet they gave it to him up the rear in VN. After he ratted out his country as a reward.

Yes, Theodore, I am aware that the voters in Arizona and Wisconsin disagree. And I believe that the reason they disagree has everything to do with state special-interest issues and very little to do with the larger and much more important issues facing our country at the present time. Issues, by the way, which Mr. Trump has clearly addressed, and also clearly stated how he proposes to deal with them.

I didn’t have a cell phone then, let alone one with a camera.

The rat incumbent was unopposed and I was 20 going on 13 so it seemed like a good idea. It was either gonna be Nixon or Daffy Duck.

My mom was a poll worker at our precinct. I told her I did that, she figured it was me. She said it screwed them up and caused them extra work.

No opponents against my Congressman this year, not on the ballot or any write ins, it’s gonna be tempting.
