Singer Barbra Streisand has sent an email in support of California Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom’s Proposition 63, requesting $5 donations “to defeat the National Rifle Association” (NRA).
Streisand pointed to the 1993 Long Island Railroad shooting to explain her support for more gun control.
According to the Sacramento Bee, Streisand’s email said, “Like you, California is my home, and I can’t just wait around hoping tragedy doesn’t strike our state again. If there’s something we can do that will stop innocent Californians from being shot and killed, I will do everything I can to see it done.”

In regards to the Colin Ferguson shooting on the LIRR, if people were armed on that train that day, thecasualties would have been much lower and that dirt bag shooter would have been six feet under. Now that is gun control. Libs just do not understand.

She could be very helpful if she would give me her recommendations for the other propositions (save me the time from reading them).
Disguised as a gun safety measure, it’s called the “Safety” For All Initiative, Prop 63 would implement lots of new gun laws. Among other things, it outlaws possession of high-capacity magazines. And it requires background checks for ammunition purchases. It requires anyone who wants to buy ammuntion to have a four-year permit from the California Department of Justice. It will do nothing to prevent Crime.
Well that’s it. I’m in for five bucks tomorrow: to buy ammo at my favorite gun store.
