Mike Pence did. He was the adult in the room. He retained his calm, cool and in control demeanor.
He didn’t bite on any of the talking points and didn’t take the bait. Kaine really came across as emotional, high strung, obnoxious and rude.

If anyone wanted to see Mr Pence be an attack dog you were badly mistaken. It is simply not in the mans person to be rude, arrogant and assinine. What you all saw tonight is why Mike Pence is one of the top rated conservatives to ever come out of the House of Reps. He is cool, calm, thoughtful and collected in his thoughts and demeanor.
Always has been that way, and always will be.
Pence won that debate for being calm and let Kaine do what he did..appear like a complete mental nut case that is off the rails.
My sense of this is that Kaine knew he was outclassed and he opted for the noisy lawyer strategy. When you have the law you argue the law. When you have the facts you argue the facts. When you got nothing, you get emotional and yell a lot and pound the table.

At least we will have a LITTLE shot at the 3rd debate with wallace.

I’ve thought as wallace for some time as something of a twit, but I agree that he is going to do a better job than the first two.

Pence actually had TWO opponents tonight: Kaine AND the so-called moderator. Wow, she kept injecting extra questions of her own for Pence and did not do so for Kaine. She also allowed Kaine to interrupt Pence. She kept reminding Pence that he “had 30 seconds left”, yet I don’t recall her warning Kaine of the same, she just let him go on and on. And yet, Pence kept his cool through this travesty. Yay, him!
Pence would make a good President!
