There are those of us that are perfectly happy staying inside and shooting things / blowing things up on the internet. It’s even better when the game itself is free to play.
Microshaft!
Wow, man! SUPER!
Sounds like a metric f***ton of fun!
You should take over the world on your PC.
What am I supposed to feel sorry for you or admire you because you WORK on your PC!?
I don’t even give a damn sh*t. Who cares.
And yep, I’ll spend the rest of my life playing outside, sounds grand, yay me!
And when it’s too dark to do anything outside, I’ll come in and play a game, or watch a video, or listen to some music, and if you don’t like it, that makes it all the better for me, workboy.
I agree! Mint 17.3 user here and I run windows on it along with windows programs. I have an extensive data base that needs windows to run on so I have the best of both worlds! I never use windows except to use that particular database so I don’t have it installed as a dual boot system. I use windows as a software program.
Personally, right now I’m into running dungeons.
Extremely difficult, terribly frustrating and very addicting.

Defintely was not free though, but I bought it a while back when it was still in development, so I didn’t have to pay full price.
Love Steam!
I’m probably your Grandma, or very much like her. I’m so old that the only ‘game’ I found interesting in my ‘computer life’ was MYST - and I was probably almost old enough to be your Granny back then!
I really don’t want anything more to do with MS. As far as I’m concerned, judging by the way they forced my computer into their new ‘10’, I’ll use anything else that can do what I need to do....so: Linux!
Best,
JT
That’s indifference, not anger.
You aren’t worth getting angry over, no point, you seem miserable enough on your own anyway.
Why did you even start this conversation with me? Is there some point to your being a miserable, stuck up snot just because you WORK on your computer? Your work doesn’t seem to make you very happy or pleasant, just to note.
Actually, Windows 10 Home works very well if you have a 8 GB of RAM, a 500 GB hard drive and a CPU running x86-64 instructions clocked a 1 GHz or faster. I’ve actually seen a machine with a old Pentium Dual-Core E2160 CPU run Windows 10 Home quite well if you have 8 GB of RAM installed.
You started in on me. I had said nothing to you.
"Since you don't do anything with your computer but play games in yor mom's basement, why would anyone want your opinion? :)"
You aggroed me, FRiend. I was just standing here talking.
Seems to me that it bothers you that some of us use our PC's just for fun, while you are chained to yours, and obviously not very happy about it, because you have to let others know in a way that demeans them and elevates yourself.
The conversation in this thread would have remained so much more pleasant, but then you arrived. You should be ashamed of yourself.
Will you two middle-schoolers give it a rest.
.
Be sure to disable Cortana or you will be sorry.

Just wanted to thank you for posting this link. Have now downloaded and installed Spybot Anti-beacon and configured it to block as much Win 10 spying as it can. (Besides, a $25 donation was a lot more cost-effective than buying a new laptop! The program is FREE, of course, but one has the option of paying for value received —sort of like here at FR.) :)
my son, a computer engineer/techie who works in san jose for well known company says otherwise...
So happy to hear you like your chrome book
I bought one today. All I need is simple and user friendly. No apps, no nothing but internet surfing, copy and send, to type something and print, and email.
You think I will be happy with it?
Thx, Rita
Man, I’m still stuck at 2400bps. Must be nice to have all that speed.
