This just goes along with the Navy scuttling 91 insignias, you won’t know a Radar Tech from a Sonar Tech. Only E3 and below are not effected. Yes over the years hundreds of out modded ones have been dropped. But that is just it those MOS don’t exist any more. Just like a Horse Calvary insignia is obsolete today. Also going to gender neutral.
I always thought the slogan fit the Marines’ identity as an elite fighting force. Of course, the way things are going, that might not be true much longer.

People know what the Marine Corp does. The slogan has worked since it began so no need to change it.
As a former Marine I can attest that Marines in general let criticism by the public or politicians roll off their backs. And we laugh like crazy at liberals.
