NASCAR lost me when the put the rule in place at North Wilkesboro where you had to be on the lead lap to enter the pits on the first lap of a caution.

After that I was done . NFL Lost me During the last strike. MLB at the last strike.

Now I go and do things that are fun institutions rooting for overpaid morons

My Dad used to take me to the 49ers games at Keezar Stadium when we lived in S.F. in the 1950’s. I have been a Niners fan for a loooong time, but will not watch a game as long as the ass-wipe Kaepernick is on the team; and I graduated from Nevada-Reno and watched the kid play college ball.

In fact, the wife and I have not watched a complete NFL game this season.

GO BOISE STATE BRONCOS!!!!

I think suspending Brady when there was no real evidence against him.

There certainly was real evidence against Tom Brady, and there's no way Roger Goodell would have gone after the league's biggest cash cow otherwise. People act like there's supposed to be some kind of criminal standard of proof, when in reality the commissioner is perfectly entitled to render judgement, even if it's arbitrary (which is wasn't.

Regardless, Brady's suspension has absolutely nothing to do with this year's decline in viewership. There should be no doubt in any objective person's mind that it's because of the disrespect for the national anthem. It's obvious.

And the viewership will bounce back at least somewhat once there are no more employees who are letting their political views damage the economic prosperity of the league.

In every sensible company I've ever seen, including sports, which at its core is entertainment, any employee who costs their employer both customers and business revenue would be severely sanctioned, if not outright fired.

Middle class Americans, who work their asses off just to make ends meet, and who want to get away from the problems of the world on the weekend and relieve some stress, certainly don't want to have ignorant race-baiters shoving their agendas down the throats of the fans, who obviously can't do anything to directly address the issue that's being protested in the first place.

It's utterly asinine for both the league and the players, and shows a lack of character by both owners and coaches who can't maintain proper team discipline.

And my home team, the Miami Dolphins, has emerged as the worst offender regarding disrespect to the anthem. Thankfully, johnny-come-lately ringleader Arian Foster won't be playing this week, and as far as I'm concerned, I can't wait until he's gone for good, because the Dolphins will never amount to anything as long as his malignant influence remains on the team.

The NFL will be in a state of steady decline until they get out of denial and face reality regarding the large share of their fan base that is furious at the un-American activities of some of the NFL's employees.

You want to do political protests? Do it on your own time. Don't do it while you're working and in such a way that you cost your company both clients and money.

The teams already have their money from the TV contract, the NFL being one of the first pro leagues to institute revenue sharing. Whether or not these annual payments are tied to specified viewer levels I don’t know.

The networks, however, will have to lower ad rates if viewership falls. I can see them pressuring league management to do something when their revenues get hit. Are they going to let some second string QB in San Fran do that to them, just because he read a book (probably his first one) in the offseason? I don’t see Tom Brady, Eli Manning, or Aaron Rodgers doing this, only second tier no-names.

If you don’t like your hometown team, it’s more fun to watch a better team. And it’s not likely that your hometown team is one of the good ones.

When I watch sports, I only watch the hometown team. That is what makes sports fun. I pity the fans who are stuck with douchebags like Kaepernick, Michael Vick and others of their ilk. Fantasy football has probably also taken a lot of the home town aspect out of it.

My remaining hometown team is the Astros. I don't watch the NFL or NBA antmore.

For the same reason people don’t watch Michelle Obama’s speeches .. she commented, “... All this for a STUPID FLAG”.

Get the hell out of our WH if you can’t honor our flag.

I hear Target is having equally mysterious problems. Must be Trump’s fault.

It’s a mystery. I stopped watching, oh, say, a couple decades ago when Dennis Green took way too many players from parolee lists or should have been there. These days the press focuses on players who hate the United States like the Devil hates holy water. What is there to ignore?

Ok, so the NFL has been put on notice. Wouldn’t it be nice if all conservatives dedicated a couple of weeks (and hopefully more) to totally avoid movies? If nothing else it should be a wake up call to studios to let them know the size of the audience they continue to anger.

Well, we’re both from similar backgrounds. I too used to watch the Niners at Kezar and have been a Niner fan since then except during the 70’s when I was a Raider fan.

Now, the Niners have turned me off almost completely because

1) Kaepernick hasn’t been reprimanded and properly dealt with

2) They chucked probably one of the most effective coaches in the NFL in Jim Harbaugh who took them from being a mediocre team to a perennial contender for the championship. Now they’re back to mediocre and stupid because they have a stupid organization.

3) They moved the Niners out of S.F. and down to a stupid location in Santa Clara where they don’t belong. Somebody needs to plant the Niners across McCovey Cove from AT&T Park with the same gorgeous views the Giants have. The Niners belong IN S.F.

Agreed. Very well conceived an well written. Those of us who are fed up with the Leftist NFL should have this as a plaque until the NFL, like the rest of the “establishment” is commandeered by freedom-loving Americans.

I didn’t write it. Please see the first sentence in my post. But I hope everyone will feel free to copy and paste it in a email to all they know.

The solution:

The spineless commissioner should state that protesting the anthem/flag will no longer be permitted. Anyone doing so will be fined $500k and not be welcome on the team anymore. It is their 1st amendment right to protest, but not on the NFL’s time.

These stunts have so turned off the American people that the NFL’s pockets are feeling it and American’s disgust is spreading as more and more of these ungrateful narcissists jump on their unpatriotic bandwagons. The Commissioner and owners should have nipped this in the bud right after it started. Enough already!!!

Mexicans don’t watch the NFL....
****************************************
The Dallas Cowboys have a tremendous fan base in Mexico.

Here in the DFW area, their games are sometimes shown on a Hispanic TV channel (I think only when on CBS with which it’s affiliated).
