Johnson takes more votes from Hillary than Trump so it is in the interest of the MSM to discredit him and make him look bad.

The media is trying to help Hillary so don’t bite this story.

Bibi or Viktor Orban.

I’m quite sure Johnson likes neither.

Roosevelt was a great leader in war

He let himself be bamboozled by Doug Mac leading to a prolonged Pacific war and needless American deaths. A great leader would have recognized that only Nimitz knew what he was talking about.

He should have said “Obama”.

I haven’t heard this before could you please elaborate?

When evidence of Obama's ineligibility started to leak out, it was at first ignored, then mocked by calling it "birtherism" and finally it was declared discredited and anyone who promoted it was called racist.

What was never stated is who disproved it and with what facts. Calling somebody names proves nothing other than they're hiding something.

Yes.

Nimitz proposed an island hopping campaign that would strangle Japan while Macarthur favored land war that would let him fulfill his promise to return to the Philippines and be a hero.
One made military sense while the other was a PR campaign.

I recall a history of the Pacific War citing McArthur’s command as having the lowest casualty rate of any WW II command.

Didn’t we do both? As I remember the Japanese Navy/Air force largely lost most of its combat power in places like the Philippines and Sipan trying to stop the landings. We also bypassed most of the most heavily defend islands as Nimitz wanted.

I agree with your brake down of MaCarthur and the Philippines turned out to be a flop losing lives for no reason. But I believe you under estimate the power of good PR. Look what MacArthur did to Shintoism after the war.

Shintoism made Islam look peaceful and Shintoism believed in great technology and organization. Things Islam lacks.

Making Shintoism potentially the most dangerous religion ever. MacArthur tamed the ideology using the power of PR.

You’re right; the thing is that Mac’s little hobby deviated from the leapfrogging plan in Operation Cartwheel and it proved extremely costly.

MacArthur tamed the ideology using the power of PR.

Same process was launched in Germany with the denazification program. That had to be part of the occupation no matter what.

In the hands of people like Obama, we would need to respect their culture and dignity and within 2 decades we'd be back to fight them in another war...times sure are different

I’m no scholar; I get my stuff from the History Channel which can be a valuable resource taken with a grain of salt.
