El Cajon, California (CNN)Activists dismayed by the police killing of an unarmed, possibly mentally ill black man in El Cajon, California, demanded Wednesday that authorities release video of the shooting. They also want a federal probe into the man's death. Police have not released the man's name.

As of Wednesday afternoon, police had released little information about the incident, aside from a still photograph showing the African-American man, in what authorities describe as a "shooting stance," facing off with two officers in a parking lot.

They just seem to love death.

I’m still undecided on who love death more: Blacks or Muslims?

You can only get an Honorable Mention if you survive, as I recall.

Some of the black witnesses said he had his hands up when shot. Funny how none of them on TV media mentioned the suspect went into a shooting stance directly towards the officers.☺

Black lies matter!~

His sister called the cops because he was acting crazy. If a family member is acting crazy, don’t call the cops unless you want them dead.

Several years ago where I live a mother called deputies on her son. He ended up dead.

if one were to successfully remove their ability to procreate by, say, urinating on a high tension power line

From the official Darwin Award website:

"Nominees significantly improve the gene pool by eliminating themselves from the human race in an obviously stupid way.

Not a Darwin (but not safe either)

* Whizzing on an electric wire"

I do get your point though the rules say eliminate the capability to reproduce defined as sterility. Not a problem if you're dead.

He asked for it, he got it...

I could see, and might expect a police officer giving an obvious child the benefit of the doubt, but a grown man doing that sh!t...bang.

Zoom in on that pic up top .. the perp has something in his hands - clearly visible silhouetted against that white truck.

Someone with the knowhow to clean up graphics can probably make it out.

“If a family member is acting crazy, don’t call the cops unless you want them dead.”

If the family members crazed state is endangering others what would you suggest?

“His sister called the cops because he was acting crazy. If a family member is acting crazy, don’t call the cops unless you want them dead.”

I think it’s time we started speculating on what form of mental illness or illegal substance of choice is behind this behavior.

In that case, you can call the cops and they will likely kill the person.

Or you can figure something else out to subdue him without involving the cops.

A black man was shot in an encounter with El Cajon Police Tuesday, multiple witnesses said, while a woman wailed nearby, demanding to know why police shot her brother.

Hours later, police officers told NBC 7 San Diego the man, now identified as Alfred Olango, was acting erratically and failed to comply, although they did not release details on the specific threat he presented to officers.

Dozens of officers swarmed a public shopping center in the heart of El Cajon at 1 p.m. The community is approximately 30 miles east of downtown San Diego.

One witness recalled seeing an officer fire five rounds. Another man said police fired Olango who had his hands out to his side. A manager inside a nearby restaurant said he refused to remove his arms from his side. Police said witness video showed Olango did not have his hands in the air.

Acting like you’re holding a gun and trying to shoot someone usually doesn’t end well.

Actually, it is technically possible to be eligible for a Darwin Award while not dying.

Guess a shooting stance like this guy was doing is what the dumb Blacks mean when they chant “hands up, don’t shoot”
