A Subdued Donald Trump Showed a Side We Rarely See
NY Times ^ | Sept. 27, 2016 | ASHLEY PARKER

If “Trump the Candidate” is often an outsize caricature of Donald J. Trump, the New York businessman, then “Trump the Debater” was the opposite of outsize: a subdued, scowling titan, stuffed into a black suit, straining at the seams as the debate at Hofstra University wore on.

The answer to the core questions — could Mr. Trump comport himself as disciplined “Teleprompter Trump” without the aid of actual teleprompters, and could he appear plausibly presidential opposite Hillary Clinton — came early in the debate. And the answer, at least for the first portion of the debate, was yes.

By the standards Mr. Trump, his team and we in the news media seemed to have set for the Republican nominee, Mr. Trump cleared the bar. He stayed more or less in control, never directly insulted Mrs. Clinton and did not create new controversies over policy.

Yep, apparently Hillary won the debate but Trump won the DEBATE. In other words Trump won votes and Hillary lost them as you say.

This of course is driving the enemedia insane!

Is somebody arguing that Trump was subdued in the first debate ???

But the ladies said that Trump showed too much testosterone.

Many women say Trump showed too much testosterone at debate

millions of people who tuned in expecting to see a rabble-rouser saw Trump, instead. The narrative falls apart when people can see the truth for themselves.

As much as I would agree with your statements, I have not found that to be the case. I was just talking to a fellow today, and all he saw was a rabble-rouser. The truth had no effect on him at all. People 'see' what they want to 'see'.

Trump’s little supporters should send an extra month’s donation or start donating now to back up our candidate.

I did, and this is the reply from Team Trump:

David, thank you for your generous donation to elect Donald Trump as our next president.

This is not just an election. It’s a fight for the heart and soul of our country.

And with your contribution, we’ll be able to combat the mainstream media’s lies, stop Crooked Hillary from ever setting foot in the White House, and WIN the fight to Make America Great Again!

We will never forget your support.

Thank you,

Team TRUMP

The “crazy” Trump meme died last night. That’s the big story of the debate and why the MSM are beside themselves.

I agree. I differ with those who felt he did poorly. Hillary and the media was waiting for him to come with guns blazing and then accuse him of bullying, etc. What he showed is that he is unpredictable. In my opinion, Trump won he debate. Most people polled also said he won.
