Did John Dickerson just say what I think he said; "Trump probably can't get out of the rest of the debates."
Help needed as I caught only the end of his piece, but we can easily imagine what preceded. Time ! , Slate ! show massive Trump victories. Even NBC concedes Trump did well. OMG.
And Dickerson/CBS suggest he lost so badly he'd like to avoid further debates !
Even if he should, he won't. It's not in his personality.
Will Trump show? Yes.
Krauhammer summed it up well, Trump as the challenger held his own and did no damage. It was a draw and in a draw the win goes to the challenger.
Trump did damn well against someone READING NOTES.

Someone just posted the post-debate article from Scott Adams, who has been writing about how Trump is using persuasion techniques.
He says that Trump had to do only one thing: appear "less scary" -- i.e. not be the person the lamestream media and the Hillary campaign (yes, I repeated myself) has portrayed him to be.
By not attacking Hillary on personal issues, he achieved that goal. Maybe Trump lost the debate, but he probably won the election.
This just in…..Hillary’s team will have to find another mortician to do Hillary’s face. The one who troweled on her makeup last night refuses to try that again.
Why would he? He’s winning.

I believe that Trump will do better during the next debate. But, I noticed that he was sniffing and drinking water like he had a cold and a sore throat. That is not to say he did badly, he did well. I think that if he felt better some of what is being said, now, wouldn’t be said at all.
Dickerson ought look at the Gravis. Hillary wins debate+5, election Trump+5, and increased after debate. Plus, “cares about people like me” +5 trump

Few environments are as rich in targets.
They clearly do not WANT Trump to be there for more debates, because hilLIARy is such a bad candidate.
Every opportunity for her to be seen in public invoked the “Dick Morris Rule” that says the more she is seen, the more her poll numbers go down.
If there is one thing we have seen is Trump is the candidate who learns adapts and improves - I don't see him skipping any debates.
The canned zingers did NOT go off as expected. There were a couple of times where she made some supid comment learlly meant to be a zinger, and paused..., and it fell a little flat.
Not so bad it drew groans from the crowd, but clearly not the effect she wanted, and the pause looked bad.
Not to make excuses for him but in actual fact is it was the first one-on-one debate in his life, and against an experienced debater. He needs to remember only one ground rule in future debates: briefly refute or deflect any any assault on him and return to the attack!
So, it was a little short of a “Please clap” moment ala Jebito Bush, huh?
