Until recently, you didn’t hear people being referred to as “globalist” very often. But in a time of rising nationalism, those who see the upside of globalism have become a distinct — and often embattled — tribe.

Of course there are upsides, otherwise why would it ever have become policy?
The issue is that the downsides outweigh the upsides. When proposing open borders and massive “climate change” agreements, when are the costs ever discussed? They are presented as unalloyed positives. In other words, the people have been lied to.
I’ll keep saying it, don’t let them place nationalism as the antidote to globalism. It’s not. Patriotism is.

I was raised with the idea that nationalism is merely very strong patriotism.
I was also taught that nationalism is dangerous and those who propose it are not to be trusted.

They don’t care about the cost of climate change .
It’s all about removing the money from your pocket and using it to line their pockets.
Carbon does not cause global warming .
Plants use it and convert it to oxygen.
Their whole basis for global warming is a scam , a scam to scam you out of your money.
They went into overdrive with Obama and exposed themselves while giving *some* legitimacy to people considered nuts.
And they keep calling our belief in decentralized governments “nationalism” which it isn’t. It is nationism...the belief that the nation-state provides the best opportunity for freedom and economic security. Globalism on the other hand, promises a one world power group, and when that becomes despotic, to whom do you appeal?
They were being lead by a mOron.
Because globalism only enriches the pinnacle of our society and the Government that assists them. Manhattan and DC are rolling in cash.
They have strip mined American jobs from coal to manufacturing to agriculture, and now even defense contracts. They flood in tens of millions of snarly and often dangerous immigrants.
And they say it benefits us because we get cheap process on crappy products at Walmart and smartphones.
Somewhere along the line people got tired of a constant state of war, of crappy low paying service jobs, of everything we called “America” being uprooted and laughed at, and at Mexicans and moslems and Africans running wild here and demanding we bend to their will.
Trump is our big middle finger.
It's all about dividing the once united, eliminating existing cultures, nationalism, patriotism and their history.
In other words, Americans are being incrementally replaced by those motivated by bad intentions.
Indeed you are so right. I always take comfort in Psalm 2 with regard to these arrogant and avaricious people.
