Not surprising for high caliber intake...and he knows if he needs further detail to ask for it.
It also takes a high level of trust in your staff to take what they say as accurate.

Donald Trump would tell them your fired if they intentionally told him something that wasn't accurate, and most likely the same would hold true if they were just wrong. But the latter would be a more congenial departure.

DJT knows the right questions to ask, and has the best possible people around him to give an answer. He looks OUTSIDE the beltway establishment- to persons NOT the usual suspects who have, in the past, made the WRONG decisions.

This has been more than apparent on his campaign trail. There has never been a candidate such as TRUMP. At least not IN OUR LIFETIME. There is always hope that this will change our elections in the years to come.

TRUMP to TRiUMPh

I once had a boss who always felt you don’t want to prepare too much because as he put it “it takes the edge off”. I think you want the edge to keep your brain engaged in high gear, as long as you have the ability to think on your feet like Trump does (and as Hillary and Obama suck at doing).

Once we caught one of his peers locked in his office with a camcorder, practicing a presentation he was going to make. We surreptitiously pulled the plug ;-) The guy was pissed when he found out but my boss assured him we were doing him a favor!

Policy adviser: Trump can fit day of learning into 1 minute.

Oh please. Trump is a bright man but nobody can condense a day's worth of learning on a complex subject into a minute. Anyone who thinks they can are just kidding themselves.

I’m reminded of those old Star Treks and other shows where the doc says “I don’t dare give her any more it might kill her!”

Good point.

And it takes a high level of trust in his own ability to select the best staff...so that their advice is not only valuable, but the best.

Hyperbole to make a point. Ever hear of it.

BTW, I'm surprised you are still here.

Must suck to be you.

I do not believe she will last the 90 minutes. Her blood pressure will go sky high. She will go into a coughing jag.

Remember, her first time around, she lost to an unknown, clean, literate, black, man with no record. And remember, he took on Biden because of his lack of experience.

She had a little nervous breakdown while going up against Obama...to the point where she was crying.

Oh, my. What does he define as "too much" preparation?

When I am going to present, I have a stack of material that I have read ahead of time. I use that material to prepare a PowerPoint presentation. While some people try to fit everything they want to say on PowerPoint slides, I don't do that. My slides are just talking points which I use to remember what I want to say, and I do not prepare for a presentation by memorizing what to say. Usually, my presentations go off pretty well.

Dr. Drew has diagnosed Trump as hypo-manic, similar to Teddy Roosevelt. It’s why he has such drive and can accomplish big things on 4 hours of sleep. Wonder if this is connected.

That's not really what the guy said. You should watch the video. He was explaining that Trump is a very fast absorber of information, and "gets it" right away ("a minute"), whereas other people he's dealt with take a much longer time to understand the concept and would require explanations and studying ("a day").

He's basically describing a CEO's quick take of data.

I'm hypomanic, but I need my sleep.;-)

I think Trump fits the bill...and not drinking alcohol or doing drugs enhances the positive effects that come with being hypomanic and significantly reduces the downside.

It’s my perception that almost nobody understood how close Trump is to most of our views. If he wasn’t fully in line, and we can think of some instances like that, he understood when reminded why he was a bit off base (or a lot).

He understood, because when explained it, it made sense to him based on his other beliefs.

This guy here says he learns in a minute what others take a day to learn. No, he knew the other day’s worth of lessons. He just needed a few minutes to fill the gaps.

Folks, we scored. Trump is going to make all of us proud.

Can’t wait for January.
