I’m beginning to think that all of the players “outrage” about race etc., is to
set the stage for the NFL’s push to become an international enterprise. Why else would the commissar, er, commissioner be praising these actions? It’s to add appeal not to Americans, but to the internationalists, the globalists. They hate America, so the players and the game should appeal to that anti-Americanism.

Perhaps all of the drunk driving, spousal abuse stories and charges against players will go away if they cooperate with the plans of the NFL’s big business, globalist expansionism. It’s easy - simply take a knee or raise a fist. Blackmail and bribery are tools of the Left.

As they have already played games in other countries, there is no denying that they want to expand outside of the American marketplace.

In essence, professional sports teams no longer care whether we (Americans) support the teams, the players or the NFL,the NBA, et al, they will simply replace us with people who hate us as a people or hate the ideals upon which our country was founded.

If I see any more of that nonsense today the NFL is off my TV for good.””

AMEN.

Between their actions against this country & our flag & overly punishing Tom Brady-—I don’t care anymore. At least CBS has the PBR on a few times a year. (Professional Bull Riders). Those guys are tough!!! Not like the weak Colin “The Whiner’.

Don’t worry the nonsense will be there. I am not going to even turn the NFL on today.

the NFL thinks it is impregnable and above losing money. I just put on USAA’s face book page to stop advertising with them. No company dedicated to serving Veterans should be anywhere around the NFL.

“Why the NFL is down this season”

Football fans tend to be patriotic.
We want to see football, not snowflake, prima donna, multimillionaire ingrates disrespecting our beloved country.

If we wanted to see that **** we would watch CNN.

CNN’s theory is full of baloney, as everyone here knows. No one in the past stopped watching the game because some famous quarterback (pick one) retired. No one ever ceased watching because a player was suspended. I didn’t stop watching when Namath retired or when Bradshaw retired. CNN is, as usual, full of it.

The cultural marxists keep pushing the envelope. They are now attacking the National Anthem, the flag, the founding fathers, and everything that made America into the great nation, with all its flaws and all, that it was, and still could be again. Kaepernick is just one of their tools, and what’s sad is seeing so many people living in this country where opportunity still does abound if you apply yourself, expressing so much hate for their country. Well, maybe it really isn’t their country. If they hate it so much, then they should do as people in countries with real oppressive regimes always do, and emigrate.

Well, I stepped away around comment #51 and the thread has found a second wind since then. Turned on the Raiders vs. Titans game beginning and several players did raise their fist during the national anthem.

I’m not hoping for the demise of the NFL, but I am hoping for a 10% - 15% drop in TV viewership all season long. All big businesses, including the NFL, are geared for a growth in customers and revenue every year. A failure to grow customers is panic time and that’s what I’m hoping will knock some sense into the owner’s who tolerate and even praise this self-absorbed and unpatriotic nonsense.
