The Christopher Stout Gallery is opening its second year of programming with the Trump tombstone exhibit. The gallery describes itself as a “contemporary art gallery showing subversive and difficult work by New York City artists.”

Hey, you’re onto something! Someone should do a “counter” artwork somewhere nearby, using your description. Play off their pettiness and make it great, just like with “deplorables”!
These are people for whom “art” is displaying a “painting” in the Brooklyn Art Museum of the Virgin Mary with cow feces spread on top of her or a photo of Jesus suspended in a can of the “artist’s” urine blasphemed with the name “Piss Christ”. Well, I have some “art” that will be a direct fit for this artist’s ugly face - HIS photo suspended in a can of MY urine.
I would never patronize this gallery. If I did, I’d have the impulse to provide them with more art than just an FU lol.
Trouble is, that anti Americanm anto Christian hate speech by artists is the mainstream. A subversive work would be pro-Christian, pro-America, or nationalistic.
