Clinton allies see double standard and sexism in debate (libtards trying to manage expectations)

Hillary Clinton supporters see a double standard when it comes to Monday's presidential debate, which for the first time will feature a woman debating a man.

[Snip]

"Is there a double standard? One hundred percent times 100 percent," said Tracy Sefl, a Democratic consultant and Clinton surrogate. "And God forbid if she coughs."

[Snip]

They say their candidate will be criticized for smiling too much or too little, for cracking too many jokes or not enough. She's criticized when she talks too much about policy, and she's criticized if she relies on too many zingers.

The tone of Clinton's voice is repeatedly analyzed, as is her wardrobe. Clinton allies note that graphics have been made about the former New York senator's pantsuits, while stories have been written about her wearing a scrunchie.

Please. I can still remember Nixon being taken apart for not having shaved, and George Bush being excoriated for glancing at his watch.

Trump is certainly criticized much more for supposedly not being interested enough in the details of the job.

Cry me a river. If she can’t stand the stress of a little debate on friendly ground, how does she think she’d stand up to dealing with someone like Putin?

And all The Donald has to do is be himself, tell everyone what he HONESTLY thinks and people love him for it. It's just NOT FAIR.

"Is there a double standard? One hundred percent times 100 percent,"

Well, 100% = 1.

So 1 x 1 = 1.

Doesn't sound like a big deal to me.

Bottom line: Maggie Thatcher could debate anyone anytime and suffer no criticism regarding smiles or the lack therof. Hillary is a fake phoney fruad.

The party that promotes and supports identity politics complains that identity will influence how Americans judge the debates. They cannot see past identity, and so they think everyone else gets stuck on identity too. The concept of judging people on “the content of their character” simply does not exist for them, or at least not when it comes to their candidates.

They whitewash and minimize every issue that is damaging to their candidate, from a pattern of lies and deceit to her poor decisions on Benghazi and the middle east to her proposals to raise tax and give more power to bureaucrats and politicians. So of course they are incapable of recognizing that their candidate fails to attract support because voters don’t trust her judgement or veracity. Since the issues don’t matter to them, in their minds the only reason she isn’t 50 points ahead is because she is a woman. They don’t even realize how this is incredibly insulting to the electorate, essentially calling them sexists who cannot judge her on the merits of her campaign and history of public service.

People don’t want to vote for someone who insults them, and insults their intelligence. Gosh, I really hope she loses in a landslide. It will take something like that for them to get introspective and realize their mistakes.

“And God forbid if she coughs.”

Well, Hillary brought that on herself. Her mode if operation is to hide and cover up things. If she had just come out in the first place and said she had pneumonia there would not be as big a deal about it. The coughing ball is in her court.

So....does Hillary expect other world leaders to treat her different because she is a short, fat, sickly and an older woman? “She” is making “herself” look weak here.

Trump should smash her like a bug on this issue. She is projecting weakness to the entire world by these “ridiculous” statements.

Hillary, you want to be a world leader.... THEN ACT LIKE ONE!

They cannot see past identity

That's why the Democrats put everything into turning out the vote. They figure most people's minds are already made up based on identity.

But turnout is where the debates could have an influence. If Hillary has a bad performance, the Dem base won't change their minds about being for her, but they may not turn out for her.
