1:54 you can see the gun fall from the black police officer? This is a bit odd. Could be that he picked up gun earlier but you can visibly see it drop. Bit odd.
Looking at the photo below of the gun from another angle, it is not at that location, but rather between his feet and the curb. Either the gun is in shadow in the video or maybe Scott fell on it and when they rolled him over someone set the gun there.

I found the gun. If you look at the frames beginning at 1:04 there is an object on the ground about three feet behind the cop in the red shirt.
Keep rolling, and the cop steps backward a couple of steps and at 1:08 - 1:09 is standing over the object, straddling it between his feet. At 1:56 he is still standing over it and I can see the object inside his left instep.
That location matches the place where the gun is seen in the later photo (after police tape has been put up) between the curb and the body.

#45. If you look at both photos, the police officer nearest the deceased still has his hands in the same position (I.e not moving) so it would be impossible for him to drop a gun down and get back into the same position in one second.
The film would have caught the “plant” either in his hands, falling, or hitting the ground. Guns do not fall flat without moving around on a solid surface like the road.
Also, the other policeman at 1.42 could not have thrown or dropped it in one second. It would have bounced or be seen in the air.
I’ll go with the gun belonging to the deceased. Fingerprints and DNA will tell us much more.
Also, if it was he gun, as others have asked, how did a convicted felon get it, did his wife know that he had it (possibly from her shouting to him), and what kind of medicines was he supposedly own (which would preclude him from even touching a firearm).
Give it a few days and I suspect all these questions will be answered, one way or the other.
Stop the video at 1:06. The gun is behind the officer in red. He then steps back and over it and the gun is obscured for the rest of the video.
If the object suddenly appearing next to the left white are gloves, then where is the gun?
Here are two snapshots of the area near the shadow of the white truck taken at 0:37 (left) and 1:55 (right). Where the policeman in the red shirt is standing there may be something on the ground between his feet, but it wasn't seen there earlier (at 0:37).
some lawyer/protest leader just had a presser..asked “why do we not see the gun in one picture/video but it’s in the other” saying that’s fishy or something like that
not going to go well with the masses..it doesn’t matter if you tell them to guy in red was standing over it or not...they are going to think is was planted now
