A new study that examines some major health care proposals from the presidential candidates finds that Donald Trump would cause about 20 million to lose coverage while Hillary Clinton would provide coverage for an additional 9 million people.

The study ignores that Obamacare is economically unsustainable and is going to implode if allowed to continue.

Good. If you can’t pay, don’t expect the rest to provide you with freebies.

I didn’t know that either of these candidates had a healthcare plan.

I paid a tax around $800, even though I never went to a doctor, because I didn’t sign up for it.

They will not lose coverage under the Trump plan.

He has already said that those who pay will pay but he’s not letting anyone die in the streets.

How often do these people get to mischaracterize his words before it all stops....election day, I suppose.

My preferred method is a healthcare tax credit with all healthcare costs deductible and healthcare sold on the open market nationwide. And, of course, we still have the Good Samaritan laws. No one will like critical health care, and critical health care is the issue.

David Blumenthal - leader of Commonwealth Fund, who did the study.

From Wikipedia- During the U.S. presidential campaign in 1987-1988, Blumenthal was chief health advisor to the Dukakis campaign. Twenty years later, in 2008, he was senior health adviser to the Obama campaign. On March 20, 2009, President Obama appointed Blumenthal to be the National Health Information Technology Coordinator, just a month after the enactment of a federal stimulus package that included about $19 billion in incentives, by Medicare and Medicaid, for the adoption of electronic health records.[1][5]

The 20 million are either illegals, or are getting near total premium support. In that case, they aren’t really insured in the normal sense of a premium paid to a private insurer—they are on government insurance through a fig-leaf intermediary, paid for by the taxpayer. How is that different from Medicaid, except for the details?

My wife and I make two. It’s saved me about $45,000 after tax dollars so far.

“I didn’t know that either of these candidates had a healthcare plan.”

I’ve paid attention to this, and the only thing I’ve heard from Trump is that he’s going to repeal O-care and replace it with something better.

From the article...

When uninsured people wind up in the hospital, the cost of their treatment gets shifted to others, including state and federal taxpayers.

...and this is different from Obamacare, how? Seems to me that the money is getting spent, and the author is debating which pocket it should come out of. Makes me question their authority on the subject.

The part Trump really show showcase is the nonsense of having health care tied to one's filing of taxes. Explain it in *very simple terms*.

to my understanding, no one NEEDS health “coverage”.

People need affordable prices to pay doctors, labs, services, when needed.

If doctors had spines and did not surrender to the “system” this could be simply worked out.

too many lawyers, big Rx, insurance and such mucked up what should be a patient doctor transaction.
