The US presidential race appears to be neck and neck. The latest Reuters/Ipsos poll shows Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump tied at 39% among likely voters, while the latest WSJ/NBC News poll says it’s 43% to 37% in favor of Clinton and Nate Silver has Clinton’s probability of winning at 59%.
But is it possible that these pollsters are wrong?

This matches my gut feel from my daily looking around the net. Hillary supporters on non political websites i visit use to be very vocal but have grown very very thin. The Hate Trump Always social media postings I am seeing have dropped way way off.
There is zero energy on Hillary’s side. I am really afraid for Oct. The ‘rats have to be getting very very desperate at this point. Their tame meida spin machine is not carrying them this year. This years Oct Surprise is going to be a doozy.
Especially if Trump has a good debate. I certainly want him to have a great debate but she will be even more desperate then. She will stop at Nothing and do Anything to win. "End justifies the means" and all of that. Hope Donald adds extra private security. . Bill? . . No, she wouldn't. .
That what I am thinking. Candidate is the spouse of a recently dead ex President would be a hell of an Oct Surprise.
I am worried about the vote counting machines that can snatch a victory and hand the election to ... anyone of the hackers’ choosing. Easily and with no evidence. This needs to be addressed and no one is discussing it at the national level.

Keep in mind that in Nate’s world....this is not a huge advantage.
You are not alone in your assessment of The Coughing One. She lusts for the presidency to a degree that we may not be able to comprehend. She wants this so badly that she is willing to do things that we find chilling and unthinkable in order to plop her arse into the Big Chair in the Oval Office.
A move on Trump would take the form of a synthetic scandal. (Like Carrot Top coming out saying he is Trumps Love Child) a Harry Read declaration. (Trump pays no taxes! I just know it!) An out and out lie. (Trump is in bed with a Mafia Family and beholden to them) or a Drone strike to take out Trumpforceone (Clitons did something like this to a Mr. Brown)
or out and out Assassination of Trump by a classic double hit (one guy shoots him, a second shoots the hit man so he will never talk). But! They must get TRump with the first shot—if he survives—the counter-strike may well see Hillary and Bill “rubbed out” in retaliation.
Within the “margin of lawyer”.
If it remains this close the Democrats will steal it.

Interesting take. Like I said, I hate even thinking about this. . I never really thought about it in previous elections. I’ll just be glad when Trump is called election night and takes the oath in January. Seems like a long way away today. . Pray for Trump, Pray for America and prepare.

I’d love it if some genuinely patriotic hacker got into even a single state’s system and made Mickey Mouse the winner of 100% of the votes. That’d wake people up.
Of course, he/she would have to record the actual votes somewhere, and release them without more than a day or 2 of delay.
We need to go back to paper ballots, and adopt the idea that we gave to the Iraqis - indelible purple ink on the thumb. I’d even allow someone to vote twice, so long as they had only a single thumb. :>)
The methodology tracks digital chatter, and Trump is making more of it by appearing and speaking more often. One of two things will come out of this: either it will turn out that Hillary can’t hide, or it will turn out that campaigning in person isn’t as effective as it’s supposed to be. I’m guessing the former.
