Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and Republican nominee Donald Trump will stand behind lecterns for the first debate on Monday at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, the Commission on Presidential Debates confirms.
The commission told Breitbart News on Thursday that the first debate will require both candidates to stand. The second, to be held Oct. 9 at Washington University in St. Louis, will be in a town hall format, meaning that candidates may stand when it is their turn to speak, and sit when they are done. (In 2012, the second debate, also in town hall format, featured some infamous exchanges where both Gov. Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama were standing and arguing with each other).
According to the commission, it is not yet clear whether the candidates will be standing or sitting for the third debate, which will take place Oct. 19 at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas. In past year, candidates have been seated for the third debate.
Clinton’s recent health problems have led to increased speculation about whether she will be able to stand for the full 90 minutes of the first debate.

Some seem to be taking the ruthlessness of H Clinton too lightly. Yes she was feeble on 9/11 and a mess, but this is the Clintons, they are doing EVERYTHING behind the scenes in an effort to give her the advantage for Monday night.
Why is a Trump hater already at the university bashing Trump, yet he is the only conservative talking to the local media there?
Trump needs votes from Long Island, Steven Hayes should never have been asked to be a Trump spokesperson. He hates Trump, yet he is there talking to all the media from a Conservative perspective.

When they first announced this debate, they said that the candidates would be seated and not be on stage at the same time. I’m glad that they changed it. I wasn’t going to bother watching the first debate. The way they described it, it was going to be nothing but a 60 Minutes interview.

This was always a debate.
Could have been. When they were talking about it, I thought that they said it was going to be the first debate. They might have been talking about that forum with Matt Lauer.

Starting to wonder if OJ’s health issues are at least partly a gaslighting operation. She will look oh-so-put-upon by having to stand through the debate, bravely enduring and garnering sympathy. Mr. Trump needs to avoid the topic - unless she keels over, which should draw genuine concern.
