Cruz supporters alarmed by possible Trump endorsement
Washington Examiner ^ | September 22, 2016 | By DAVID M. DRUCKER

Ted Cruz supporters were alarmed Wednesday at suggestions that he was on the verge of endorsing Donald Trump.

They worry that the Texas senator could squander his brand as a fighter — and goodwill earned among many through his stubborn refusal to back his party's nominee — if he caves with nothing to show for it.

Cruz has held out on the grounds that Trump is insufficiently conservative, and because Trump attacked his wife and father down the stretch of their heated battle for the Republican nomination.

The senator even took the extraordinary step of declining to endorse Trump during a televised, prime time speech delivered from the stage of the New York businessman's own nominating convention.

Had that terminology not already been taken over by the never trump crowd then Ted might have an argument.

Even Reagan in his last two lines made it clear he would be supporting ford. Plus Reagan helped raise funds and did campaign when asked for ford

I don’t want Cruz on the Supreme Court, he does not know what natural born citizen means.

Carson attacked Trump’s temperament first. I remember it clearly.

It is a first principle of Donald Trump and his family to never consider attacking until first attacked.

You know, seriously, this is not about Cruz this and that and is he late to the party...It is about stopping the Administration from giving away control of the Internet...

Cruz is the bill sponsor...I seriously don’t think he was terribly late to the party...

With all due respect, frankly I don’t care if the Great Pumpkin sponsors a bill to protect internet freedom!

I feel it is not productive to get caught up in Cruz sniping...he is leading the charge on this one and Trump seems to be supportive of his efforts.

I might add that Cruz is going to need to push hard because McConnell is the turd in the punch bowl on this one as he wants a “clean” resolution...

I don’t know where Ryan stands yet, hopefully Duffy will push hard as well—Duffy is also in Wisconsin, so I am not sure if that is good or bad thing.

For two long years others in both the hous and senate have been trying to get this stopped. Ted was too busy campaigning and ignoring it to bother

Cruz has been dead to me for many reasons for awhile

Do a Google Search on terms “Ben Carson on Trump Temperament” restricted to Aug 1, 2015 to August 31, 2015 and up will pop many reports and interviews in the first half of August where he clearly insinuates Donald Trump does not have the temperament to be President.

All of Carson’s comments about Trump were completely unprovoked.

As late as Aug 27, 2015 Trump had attacked neither Cruz nor Carson but as those two got feister and more bold in their criticisms of Trump’s character, Donald finally took the gloves off and KO’s them.

Donald Trump: No attacks on Ben Carson, Ted Cruz — yet

No for 2 years they defunded this...I know Duffy was working on this last year...Yeah, Cruz was campaigning, and a lot of people here used to think that was OK...He may have said stuff about it in past—I don’t know and I don’t care...As I said before, this drive to keep Internet in US is not about Cruz or what he did or didn’t do...

As I said, I don’t care who is leading the charge...it has to be charged on thru the Senate leadership in the next week to keep this control in US. Frankly, your sniping at Cruz does not move the issue forward, and if you would spend time contacting your Senators, Reps, and McConnell, that would be a lottttt more productive.

BTW just so you know, I never ever supported Cruz...the primaries are over—it is time to move on.

Anyone who chooses to put themselves in the way of God in such a manner, without prejudice as to whom addressed.

Ryan and McConnell are both globalists
————————————\]

Not sure what your point is...

Yes, I am aware they and half the people in DC are globalists...

Regardless, I am contacting their offices to tell them it is a National Security issue to cede control of the internet...

Given the resistance I have gotten around here, Cruz and Duffy may not succeed, but I will at least be able to tell my grand-kids I did what I, a single individual, was able to do to stop this stuff.
