Poll: 44% Likely to Turn Off NFL If National Anthem Protests Continue
Breitbart ^ | 9/22/16 | Daniel J. Flynn

A Yahoo survey says that 44 percent of Americans report a likelihood of shutting off NFL games should players continue to kneel for the national anthem.

The poll result follows Nielsen ratings showing that many fans already do something else beside watching football this season. Monday Night Football endured its lowest ratings earlier this week since moving to ESPN a decade ago and Sunday games also suffer year-to-year losses, albeit smaller than the double-digit decline witnessed at the Worldwide Leader in Sports. The absence of Tom Brady and Peyton Manning may help explain viewership losses. But another quarterback also not taking a single snap this young regular season undoubtedly suppresses ratings as well.

Almost a third of respondents expressed support for Colin Kaepernick’s protests of “The Star Spangled Banner.” Nearly half opposed his demonstrations. About a fifth of respondents didn’t know or didn’t care about the protests.

The backup quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers began his pregame demonstrations during the preseason. He cited police brutality and racism as reasons for sitting and kneeling for the national anthem. He followed up his initial sit-down strike against the song by donning a Fidel Castro t-shirt at a press event, wearing socks at practice depicting policemen as pigs, and telling reporters that cosmetologists receive more thorough training than cops.

Roughly three in five fans told Yahoo that Kaepernick chose the wrong manner to protest.

Already turned it off. I’ll miss my Cowboys and Jerry Jones hasn’t directly been part of this problem but it’s league-wide. I hate giving in to these idiots but I can’t support it either.

Plenty of great College games to watch.

College football is simply the NFL's minor league system. If they're not following Kaepernick's lead now, they will when they turn pro.

I was an NFL and SF 49er fan since 1967.

I turned off the NFL a couple of seasons ago after the rule changes implemented to make the game risk-free and PC/pink October crap.

I watched a little bit half-heartedly last season.

This year is a full-blown NFL boycott for me. I’m done with the PCNFL and their thug players.

I stopped watching or listening to the national anthem or any of the pre-game programming. I go to the games to escape politics and dealing with 2 dimensional thinkers.

Already off, at minimum for the rest of the season.

I’ll reconsider next year.

Too many years of tolerating the intolerable builds up a certain sick inertia, but I think as more of us stand up and say “no more” things will begin to slowly snowball back toward sanity. Hope so anyway. The Left and their agenda are intolerable, and we need to treat them as such. They’ve made great strides fighting a one-sided war of cultural conquest; now it’s time to see how they deal with incoming.

Not if we boycott the NFL and make them bleed financially for their anti American behavior then they will face some consequences

If the players protests start hitting the teams bottom line, this crap will end overnight

Its way past time for Americans to push back on the BS and what better place to start with than the NFL

I was done with them 20+ years ago when it became clear that the country was headed to hell and there were far more important things to do.

Football – along with “professional” wrestling – is the Heavyweight Division of the Celebrity Worship Club where watching 300 pound men in tights making 6 and 7 figure salaries knock the piss out of one another will somehow make the lives of those who witness this activity better and more worthwhile.

The Beautiful People Division, which serves a similar purpose (occasionally sans the violence) is currently headed by some Armenian American Princess named Kim Kardashian. She is known for the substantial size of her gluteus maximus muscles, so large they have been assigned their own zip code and are believed to have an independent weather system. As is the case with the Heavyweight Division, watching and reading about the comings and goings of the members of this division is also believed to enhance the lives of the average citizen.

In the early days of the American Republic, there was also a Political Division. It was disbanded due to loss of interest after the election of “progressive” hero Woodrow Wilson, father of the One World forerunner of the beloved United Nations, the League of Nations, the Federal Reserve and – drumroll, please – THE INCOME TAX!

Want to do something that might actually have some impact on YOUR LIFE more important than watching those 300 pounders beat the crap out of each other? You can start by visiting this site and learning how YOUR rep and senators are screwing you and your kids and grandkids out of their birthright:
