Hungary’s prime minister has called for the EU to “round up” illegal immigrants and deport them to guarded camps “on an island or North Africa.”
The comments are likely to further inflame tensions with other EU governments who say Budapest’s ultra-hard line on migration flouts both international law and fundamental European values.
Viktor Orban made the comments as he lashed out at Angela Merkel’s refugee policy, saying it was unfair for Berlin to try to distribute migrants across EU member states.
This could be an island, it could be a coastal area in North Africa, but the security and supplies of that area must be guaranteed by the EU in its own interest," Mr Orban told Origo, a Hungarian news website, in an interview published on Thursday.
"Those who came illegally must be rounded up and shipped out," he said.

They have been rebuilding that country (and their Christian churches) with every cent they have and monumental effort by the people after decades of Soviet occupation. Great national pride (and a great respect for Americans as well).
They seem quite steadfast in not letting muzzies come in and wreck the joint (much to the dismay of the propaganda machines in western Europe).
Orban’s solution is close, but no cigar. The only way Europe can save itself is to offer money to the illegals to return home, and cut off all funding for those who stay.
And Europe must commit to protecting those who return home. That means establishing, and supplying, safe zones in various countries. That would be an expensive proposition.
It would be much easier for the EU to denounce Orban, and just kick the can down the road a bit. So that is what the EU will do.
Put them on the island and give them military training for their return.
Make them all stand on one side of the island so it capsizes...
Give Italians the 2nd Amendment and 1 year immunity for any crimes against non-Italians. Drop refugees on Sicily. Problem solved.

Perhaps the Hungarian Prime Minister should lead a coalition round up Angela Merkel and the members of her party and ship them all to Saint Helena to live out the remainder of their sorry lives. After the EU has done that, perhaps they can tell the “migrants” to self-deport or be jailed on a subsistence diet until they decide to return to their homelands.

Sanctimonious, pompous, pretentious rhetoric, stating supposed principles in an ex cathedra manner, is and has been the argument for disrupting the rights of nations to their own traditional homelands. It does not, however, provide a reasoned argument for doing so.
While in a far less populated Europe, in a far less technical age, there was no comparable concept to recognize the Law Of Nations, before the 18th Century--so that German tribes in the early middle ages, could overrun a Celtic Britain, or French speaking Scandinavians settled in Normandy could then seize England from those German tribes; and be seen simply as interesting conquests. To today allow incongruous refugees to flow into modern Europe, in numbers sufficient to permanently alter the ethnic character of Europe, is simply not a reasonable proposition.
More important, it creates for European nations, loyal to their heritage in their own lands, a crisis at least as serious as that from which the supposed "refugees," have fled. This whole picture needs to be reassessed, free of the Globalist false narrative that people are interchangeable. That is an egregious lie that is an insult to everyone--with terribly cruel consequences to many.
No, don’t put them on a beautiful island, they’re going to ruin it. Send them back to wherever they came from instead.
