> The thing is the teacher said he was proud of his actions so why should the student be punished?

It's getting hard to figure out what these drug addled teachers mean anymore....

Couple of observations:

Photograph a teacher sporting KKK garb with a Confederate
flag hanging behind his desk and see if the student
photographer gets in any trouble. Come to think of it
I wonder what this particular upstart teacher would think
of a fellow teacher utilizing Klan props in a lesson plan.

I suspect this teacher has had his eyes on another
career anyway. No career minded rookie teacher would
want to risk his tenure potential on such a stupid
stunt unless he was a real idiot.

Best First Amendment lesson ever:

(1) The moron had the constitutional right to express himself as he did.

(2) The moron has no constitutional guarantee that there will not be employment consequences for expressing himself.

WTF is wrong with these people?! You took photographs of me engaging in unprofessional behavior and I want you to get in trouble for it!

They're stuck in childhood. An unfortunately common scenario, in my crowded abode, has Child A doing something he knows isn't allowed, Child B reporting the event to me, and Child A trying to injure Child B in retaliation.

This results in Child A's being assigned extra-annoying household tasks, as well as having to listen again to the lecture about how all this would be avoided if she just grew out of doing stupid stuff that isn't allowed.

It also results in Child B's being told to concentrate on his own business instead of being a tale-bearer (unless Child A's infraction involved a proximate danger to life and limb).

Why does it not surprise me that this ‘first term in teaching’ flag-stomping, ahem, individual, is a Negro?

Have a visit at the school by a returning Iraq/Afghanistan military veteran be arranged, by the penitent school superintendent, and shake the hand of the ‘photographer/student’, right in front of that teacher.

I agree with you completely, but must point out that the correct spelling is “Rayciss”.

“I can’t take a picture of them and in turn they cannot do the same of me.”

Another case of a half truth. I'm pretty sure he can't take pictures of them because they're minors.

On the other hand, he's an adult in a public place performing a public role, so they can take his picture all they like.

The child’s parents should sue the liberal teacher for emotional distress, child abuse for violence against the child. etc.

“I don’t personally blame the children,” the teacher told me. “This is exactly what America is about. This is exactly what freedom of speech is about – freedom of protest. You stand up for what you believe in. Whether or not I agree is not really the point.”

BLM Boy got that partly right; there’s freedom for legal protest. His last line he needs to fully digest.

Student should have gotten up and laid some real free speech on the BLM Boy, full heat equal and opposite reaction words, fast and furious.
