Hannity interviewed the governor and the governor said these sorts of things are best left in the hands of the local authorities (the governor was formerly the mayor of Charlotte) but you got the sense that he thought the Charlotte mayor was in over her head (though he didn't specifically say that). Reminded me of the Nagin situation in NO after Katrina. Nagin didn't have a clue.
Some of the people FNC's Harrigan interviewed said as much. They said it didn't matter whether Scott had a book or a gun, this was about the larger issue (which is also based on lies).
Rudy was awesome on Hannity last night. He kept hammering home that people have lost trust in all authority because there have been so many who have knowingly lied and misled the public. He cried, "where is the leadership-where is the President? Someone has to restore the public trust and it had to start at the top."
