And that’s the only reason?

Cruz isn’t now nor has been badmouthing Trump.

Really? What planet have you been on for the last five months?

Appreciating is great, let’s see him actually DO something about it since unlike Donald Trump, Cruz already holds a high government office.

Cruz has been leading the charge to re-sign with ICANN in the Senate.

if this election comes down to Colorado

US Coloradans will deliver our State to Trump with or without an endorsement from Cruz.

Ted screwed up big time during the campaign and convention. If this is his prodigal son journey back to redemption, I’m not going to knock him. Of course, I wished he didn’t do what he did - thought he had better political instincts.

The goal is a great Trumpian wave in November! The more the merrier, imo.

I pissed at Ted, too, but if this election comes down to Colorado, and I'm starting to think that it might, a Cruz endorsement would be very helpful.

I agree in all respects. I am hoping Cruz is planning this tactically for an endorsement when it will do Trump the most good, but I am not optimistic on that point. It's far more likely that Cruz is wavering between doing what even he knows is best for the country and satisfying his (at least somewhat justified) anger over an attack on his wife.

Until this article, I was convinced that Cruz had chosen, presumably with encouragement from his wife, to wallow in anger for the rest of the election. I hope he is considering the ramifications for the country his children will live in.

Yeah, my wife actually made me pay attention after the Carson debacle in the primaries. It was very disappointing. She switched to Trump and continued to point out what was happening with him and his people. The actions of his representatives were a direct reflection of his leadership.

After his betrayal of "the oath", how can I trust him to serve as a Justice on the SCOTUS? Oaths/Promises are obviously meaningless to him and yet he says he is a Christian. I would protest any talk of Cruz's future other than what he can do in Texas. Let them decide, but his days on the national stage are over and rightly so.

Some people around here, apparently, prefer to drive away a good percentage of former Cruz supporters (which number in the millions) and lose to Hillary, than for Trump to win with the support of former Cruz supporters. They bash Cruz more than Hillary, Obama, or Planned Parenthood. And worse, they bash former Cruz supporters. Baffling.

As far as I can tell, Cruz is no longer a factor in this campaign.

On the Internet ownership issue, he and Trump agree, as they do on many, many other important issues.

Attacking Cruz is foolish right now because he is not even up for election. Save it for after the election.

If the cruzers vote for Hillary because of the bashing from trumpsters here, they were never conservative to begin with.

I’ll welcome Cruz’s endorsement (if it comes), but I sincerely doubt his motives.

He thought his convention speech would set him up in 2020 like Reagan’s 76 speech set him up for his 80 run.

Unfortunately for Ted unlike Reagan, he lacks even a hint of Reagan’s charisma, humor, or persuasion.

Now that it looks like Trump might win and 2020 is out the window, Ted has to make nice to salvage his career.

I would also point out that Trump never bashed Cruz supporters, but Cruz insulted Trump supporters repeatedly.

Cruz supporters are NOT going to vote for Hillary. But if they fail to vote for Trump, it could cost the election.

Most Cruz supporters will end up voting for Trump. But the percentage will be a critical factor. We need ninety-plus percent of the millions who voted for Cruz in the primaries to show up and vote for Trump in the general. It’s very important.

No, just shot himself in the foot at the convention.

Think he already did that when he picked Fiorina for VP.

“Ted Cruz.........Endorse DJT immediately!”

Why?

In the immortal words of HRC, “At this point, what difference does it make?”

“It’s getting very late, Ted.”

It’s already far too late for Ted to endorse with any degree of sincerity or believability.

That train left the station at the convention.

“Cruz isn’t now nor has been badmouthing Trump.”

Seriously? Cruz told voters at our convention to, “vote your conscience.”

I have never seen a nominee slapped in the face like that at any nominating convention. It was the very worst form of badmouthing.

Driving Cruz supports away is a terrible tactic. I've been here since Nov 2000 but don't feel at home any more with the way some freepers treat Cruz supporters. I'm very glad we're not all in the same room because it would get really ugly really fast.

I'll still hang around and see what happens.

“It’s a small step and a very late one, but at least it’s some movement.”

Don’t care, and don’t even want that lying worm’s endorsement at this point.

Of all the Cruz supporters I know, most if not all will vote for Trump, myself included, perhaps because the alternative is probably the worst alternative in the nations history.
