It occurs to me that you can grant immunity for two reasons. The first, and most obvious, is because you want the truth, and the testimony can help you catch a bigger and guiltier fish.
The more Machavellian second reason, which has only occurred to me recently, is that it's a way to hide the truth if the prosecuting authority wishes to. If you grant immunity, and then don't ask any questions, the information NEVER comes out. It's like the tree falling in the forest where no one is listening.

This whole sordid soap opera makes me puke. Anyone who even wrote a derogatory tweet about this could be PC’ed into Hades, whilst this Harridan keeps snidely damning us normal, hard working schlubs for her own political benefit. I hope Trump wipes the gutter she fell into with her and straightens things here and darn soon.
I wasn’t sure if this was going to go mainstream or not. This could be huge. I am sure they will throw others under the bus, but seriously, how can the FBI not reopen things? I dont see how Hillary could survive this, what with her scraping by last time.. but then who knows.. Truth is, as long as this mortally wounds her without getting her replaced, I am good.
