Voters’ View of a Donald Trump Presidency: Big Risks and Rewards (NYT poll)
New York Times ^ | Sept. 15, 2016 | PATRICK HEALY and DALIA SUSSMAN

Most voters consider Donald J. Trump a risky choice for president, saying he lacks the right temperament and values, but he is seen as more transformative and better at handling the economy than Hillary Clinton, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll.

Mrs. Clinton, despite being as disliked as Mr. Trump, is seen as a safer option. Majorities of voters say she has the temperament for the job and would better handle foreign policy. Only 36 percent of them, however, view her as an agent of change. That perception deeply worries some Clinton campaign advisers, who want the race to hinge on Mr. Trump’s character rather than voters’ desire to upend the status quo.

Trump is seen as "better at handling the economy than Hillary Clinton,"

I hope people keep remembering this, because as they say:"it's the economy, stupid".

The article actually has the poll results in graphical, easy to review format, which is helpful.

But how can people think Hillary would handle foreign policy better, when she refused to send help to save the US Ambassador in Libya, when he was attacked by terrorists, while inside the US Embassy?

Hillary presidency: the beatings will continue until morale improves.

She will sell the White House for huge cash; her State Dept corruption will look like a lemonade stand.

The Slimes appears to be starting to hedge their bets, just in case.

And hiring a community organizer phoney wasn’t risky? (And his administration more than bore out that fact?)

She would become the wealthiest woman on earth in a short time.

“Big Risks and Rewards” beats bigger risks and no rewards. With Trump there might be checks and balances. With felony clinton you just send in blank checks.

Majorities of voters say she has the temperament for the job and would better handle foreign policy.

On what possible basis could anyone think she would be better on foreign policy?

Trump: negotiates with foreign officials, finds way forward to invest in their countries.

Hillary: arranges murder of foreign head of state, leaving wide-open gap for ISIS to fill and take their reign of terror all over the middle east.

To me, it's a no-brainer on who has the best foreign policy experience (and who is less likely to start WWIII just because she feels like it).

Hmmm. You know the pollster asked "Who are you going to vote for," but that result is reported in the text.

I had to look at poll itself to complete that list. Poll conducted September 9-13.

Trump leads in the "change agent" question. In response to a "could/could not bring about real change" question, Clinton scored 35-61 with likely voters. Trump scored 50-46. This is a change election, and Trump has Crooked beat in that category, hands down.

Odd that the report doesn't focus atention on the fact that Crooked is leading the "who will you vote for" question.

So Hillary is the “don’t change horses in mid stream” choice.

"But how can people think Hillary would handle foreign policy better"

She has much superior experience at lying & failure? (not necessarily in that order)
