As I figured out during 8 years of Clinton occupation of the Whitehouse, the MSM abandoned any effort at journalism and became the propaganda machine for the leftist / progressive transformation of the USA.

And doing this right after 9-11 anniversary plays on Trump’s looking strong versus her weakness, and overshadows some of the Republican-lite Bush era military leaders endorsing Clinton.
