Coasting is no longer an option for Hillary Clinton, given Donald Trump's resilience(barf!)
LA Times ^ | 9/9/2016 | Evan Halper

As Donald Trump’s resilience defies his erratic style, thin policy plans and incendiary pronouncements, Hillary Clinton is confronting the reality that coasting to election day is no longer a viable strategy.

Clinton has abruptly switched gears in her effort to lure the vast numbers of suburban swing voters and moderate Republicans who are still undecided. The carefully scripted candidate cautiously grinding it out has given way to a more aggressive street fighter, one who is eager to force Republican voters to face their party’s uneasiness with its own nominee.

“What would Ronald Reagan say about a Republican nominee who attacks America's generals and praised Russia's president?” Clinton said Thursday morning, when she greeted reporters about to board her campaign plane with the type of impromptu news conference she had avoided all summer. It was her third in three days.

“thin policy plans”? Compared to what? Hillary has no policy plans to speak of, just the same old status quo.

Do they realize how pathetic that looks to the vast majority of Americans?

If you don’t frame another’s copied comments with quotation marks, readers can assume you wrote them.

“based on the crowd in Kansas, she has lost the black vote”

Truth is, most black voters just aren’t enthused by her.

She’s old hat, yesterday’s news, an historic relic, stale dated, and a boring reminder that Dems like her have done nothing for the black community over their decades at the top of the heap. The same Dems who’ve been taking black people’s support for granted for over half a century.

What a total yawn to sit through yet another speech filled with angry social justice rhetoric and empty promises. I don’t blame them one bit for finding something better to do.

It’s possible that they finally understand that illegal aliens have been taking their jobs.
illary is promising us more of them and legalization of the ones already here.

true, I should do that, I kind of assume most people at least read the first sentence of an article before commenting but lots of time they do not.

This won’t work for her either, because the more visible she is, the more people are turned off.

She’s really got no viable strategy here, except praying that Trump shoots himself in the foot somehow.

The room was 2/3 empty, not 1/3. They had to move in dividers to block off 2/3 of the room so the cameras wouldn’t catch how empty it really was.

“The MSM is sick and everyone knows it.

Is there a more hated entity or institution in this country right now?

This election is as much a referendum on the media as it is a choice between Trump and Clinton.”

Yes. This election is a revolution where the people are attempting to depose the mediacracy, using Trump as the instrument to do so.

The question is: Has a large enough percentage of voters taken the red pill (found other sources of information that they trust more than the old, dominant media), to elect Trump?

That room was more than 1/3 empty - they “adjusted” its size down by 1/3 and it still looked empty. I’ve seen reports that they were expecting 5000 people but fewer than 1000 attended.

Panic time in the MSM.

The fact they’re busy trashing Trump shows that they regard him as a mortal threat.

That’s just fine with him.

The “hurt” in his butt is caused by inserting his head in and then removing it from the a-hole on a daily basis.
What crap he writes.

true, I should do that, I kind of assume most people at least read the first sentence of an article before commenting but lots of time they do not.

It's actually confusing to most readers. Sometimes a poster pastes in the comment of another poster, and it takes me a couple times reading their post before I realize they're quoting another poster, then adding a comment of their own.

It's also simple respect for others to frame their remarks with quotation marks. Don't mean to be a stickler, but English matters :-)

Most blacks are acutely aware of all the illegals and even legal immigrants who are displacing them in their neighborhoods and the workplace. Newcomers are even replacing blacks at the Democrat political table, and becoming more favored by the party.

None of that is going un-noticed by black voters.

How does pointing out that Putin is a more effective leader than Obama equate to “praising” him.

It doesn't, but Hillary and her media pets are continually reinterpreting his words. They even claimed he was praising Communist China for Tiananmen Square because he said the government was "tough" when cracking down on the dissidents. He thinks we need to be stronger in our negotiations with the Chinese because in their toughness they take advantage of us. That, to the dishonest leftist media, is "praising" the Chinese for murdering people.
