Thank you. Me too. A couple of my colleagues and friends at EMC were laid off last December and still haven’t found new jobs in the IT field.
A cursory view of EMC political donations slants heavily to Hillary and the Dems.
The company I work at does use Dell along with HP.
Both have lousy graphic cards. I need reading glasses at work but on my home built desktop pc I have a 2048MB ATI AMD Radeon R9 200 Series graphics card where I do not need glasses. I cannot upgrade the card on the work computer as it has 300 watts. Most good cards need that and more leaving nothing for the rest of the pc.
I’m a former Cruznick, now a Trumper and agree that Trump is the man, if there is a man alive, that can correct the tilt against the American Worker that the Uni Party has built into the Trade Deals because of inherent corruption.
But, I’m also a former employer of a lot of people. And, I can say that WHEN you need good, well trained, highly educated, highly skilled people you can find yourself in a desperate situation if you can’t find them and you can go broke, real fast.
So, I believe what we are seeing is that the American Education System has turned out vacant minded naughts for several decades and some degree of desperation has set in. We all need all companies to THRIVE, not go broke and out of business. Evidence of this is all around but particularly in math and science scores. The US is waaaayyyy down on the list. Our schools today are more concerned about the boys sharing the girls showers than English skills and math skills. And, History ???!!!.....forrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggeeeeeeetttt about it!!!

It is still happening now Zathras. They got rid a crap load of us just a few months ago. They “allowed” me to retire, instead of a getting a “pretend performance based firing”, after 34 years of loyal service without any negative reviews or disciplinary problems. I actually accumulated a good number of awards over the years, to no avail.
Still hiring boat loads of H1B’s to replace us. They can hire 3, 4 or 5 foreign indentured servants with what they were paying me.

I agree with you 100% but it's not against the law, so companies will do it for THE PROFIT.
American companies on the Line (U.S.-Mexico border) have hired Mexican women for decades, as they will even work for less than the Mexican men. Since it's not against the law, American companies WILL go for the profit.
Profit is the motive for companies...at least in THIS country.

The SWISS hire their own people and will pay the Swiss prices, when they could drive 20 minutes over the line to France and get EVERYTHING cheaper.
Americans don't support U.S. industries. Just look at all the Japanese and German cars Americans drive.
I don't think Americans always buy American electronics either. It SEEMS that we buy almost everything with "Made in China." on it.
Is this news to you? I don't think so. U.S. companies are in it for profit. Why else? That's not news to you either, whether we like it or not.
California farmers used to hire Mexican braceros every summer to pick the fruit, vegetables and cotton that California grew. Americans wouldn't pick cotton, fruit or vegetables unless they got minimum wages, social security and benefits. So, the farmers hired "seasonals." Been going on for a l-o-n-g time.
The alternative is socialism...Obama's way, the nanny state.
These fat corps and others who do this have as much allegiance to the U.S. as Somalia does. A lot of things that are legal are also unethical. And since tens of thousands of employers in the U.S. hire millions of low wage illegal labor, the chances of them also contributing to and supporting imported legal low wage labor, are very likely.
I can assure you these companies couldn't careless how many Americans they put out of work, as long as they get their low wage labor $$, be it legal or illegal. No allegiance, zero. And they pay *big* to make sure these corrupt politicians keep these dangerous chain immigration polices intact. But I'm very confident you'll be seeing some big changes in the future focusing on these country killing reckless policies that only our enemies love.
Regarding this immigration/business climate, right now this is all about profits regardless of consequences. No?

All you say is true. Myself came here on a student visa, studied for master’s in Engineering, and worked for 25 years in American industry designing and manufacturing hardest working machines (cold forming of steel). Starting as a lowly draftsman, I ended up as corporate manager of advanced engineering and computer controlled manufacturing.
But as you describe, we have a problem. Which is shortage of skilled workers willing to work long and hard. But importing cheap foreign labor on H1-B visa’s is not a wise solution for the long term. Drastic changes are needed. Need reforms from beginning to end, starting with education. Bush, Cruz, Kasich, etc will always push for the cheap labor express, and lower American wages for the vast middle class. We need drastic changes in the stupid foreign trade deals which are currently draining $800 Billion plus every year from American job creating economy.
Yes, it will be short term pain to wean us off the cheap labor express, but it must be done for long range benefit of the hard working American middle class. Can Trump achieve the reforms? Only thing I know for sure is the other “principled conservatives” such as Bush, Cruz, Kasich, Fiorina, etc will never do it. With Trump we have a chance.
Aha...you are overlooking the difference between Swiss hiring and American hiring. Swiss will always hire Swiss first, even if they require higher wages. So, the Swiss worker can afford to buy at Swiss prices.
In United States, there is national loyalty in corporations. They always put profit before patriotism, as you correctly point out. Therefore American workers are forced to shop at Walmart prices. If American workers were paid American wages, most can and will buy American made products. I would rather make $60/hour and buy $100 sneakers made in America than work on 2 part jobs at $15/hour and buy $19.95 sneakers at Walmart.

Both parties have been selling out America for the entire last generation. Every one of them.
Trump is the only guy, standing up and saying America needs to be the first thing we are concerned about.

I have told Dell in no uncertain terms (with no profanity) that I detested their product and would dis it on FB and every other media I frequent until the day I no longer have coherent thought.
Their response? “Meh.”
So yah...the complaint is valid and alive, and I’m here to spread the word.
Did you buy it from Dell directly? If not you should go back to the establishment where it was purchased and lodge your complaints there, and see if they will offer a resolution.
