Playboy model Dani Mathers, 29, is seen here meeting up with her lawyer Wednesday as she faces a criminal trial for body-shaming a pensioner last month. Mathers was seen going in for the meeting after it emerged that she may face criminal charges for a Snapchat photo she sent in July of an elderly woman showering in her gym. She could face up to six months in jail if found guilty of dissemination of private images.
Mathers, who was Playmate of the Year in 2015, was in the meeting with her lawyers, who are based in Santa Monica, for two hours before leaving. It's not known what the group discussed, but with a possible six-month sentence on the cards, they have their work cut out for them. Mathers' trouble began in July when she posted an image of an elderly woman in her gym's showers on Snapchat, along with one of her covering her mouth in laughter. The images, taken in a Los Angeles gym, were captioned: 'If I can't unsee this then you can't either.'
The LAPD then announced that they were attempting to track down the elderly woman in the photograph in order to pursue a criminal complaint. On Monday they said that the woman had been found, and that they are recommending prosecutors charge Mathers with dissemination of private images.
If tried and convicted she faces a maximum of six months in prison, although Slaten said that probation is more likely.
