I think it’s a hearing aid. Go look around Congress at any member over 65....at least a quarter of them wear hearing aids.Hey! I resemble your inclination! I'm over 65, by two, and just tonight I was noticing that I could hear my GD's Ipad clear as a bell from the next room, and I didn't like it one bit. Well, I'm a quiet freak, no question.

Look at the closeup photo (I’m sure you have). There appears to be two “pearls” in her ear, or she has a growth there. There is a definite circular edge which is lighter in tone than the inside of her ear. If it were an oily ear, there wouldn’t be two shiny spots there but maybe a streak. Anyway, the highlight is convex and not concave.

I watched this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDTPsnjD-FQ with the sound off and I focused on her left ear. At any point of interest I stepped frame by frame, for example at 3:30. I think it’s just shine. YMMV
