“I asked at the bank and they said the new “gentleman’s club” in town has a cash machine that only gives $2 bills.”

So it only accepts $10’s, 20’s and 50’s. That’s one way to raise the minimum wage!

“I find it even more disturbing that THE SCHOOL didn’t realize it-——must be quite a school.”

A lot of school districts contract with food vendors to provide all cafeteria services. The help is typically as ignorant as a Sheila Jackson Lee constituent.

I got a fresh supply from the bank a couple months ago.
They are really good for “sleight of hand” trick where you fold two one dollar bills and when unfolded it is a $2 bill.
Everyone should know it is real money.

And nobody mentioned the smell test. Real US folding money smells like one thing, and one thing only—currency! Or, maybe I have the nose of a bloodhound...?

It would be nice if we could trust all sources, but as we know, we can't. This author could have included that one sentence but chose not to.....to me that was done on purpose.

The additional information regarding the many cases of counterfeit bills in this school district was the local news reporter did a follow up claiming almost "all" of the kids accused were minorities....but oddly, the paperwork had fewer than half listed as minorities and many had no race listed. So even a supposed honest report was dishonest. Plus no mention of the racial breakdown of each school.....and some are almost entirely minority (or in that case I guess they would be majority....)

I’m laughing. My ship was at a port, which had a good sized Navy presence. A carrier came in and the town was flooded with young sailors. There was a volume of complaints about us filling the bars, movies, eateries, and places where young females abounded. A group of loudmouths were really loud in their complaints, and demanded the POLICE clamped down.
We younger enlisted men we really behaving, especially at lectures from every ship Captain who knew what the carriers numbers meant. Even the shore patrol admitted they were bored.
Payday, by chance was 100% NEW bills ones, fives, tens, twenties....all never touched before. The town and ALL the businesses were in turn simply overwhelmed with brand new cash, each bill sticking together as they do. Virtual chaos.
The bitter complaints stopped.

Woooow, the $2 bill you showed is a United States Note, Not a Federal Reserve Note. These were printed by JFK in an attempt to supplant the Federal Reserve. The real reason he was shot. Very difficult to find pictures of these even on the web.

Oh my gosh! That is insane! I have an aunt that sends my kids $2 bills for every holiday. We have tons of them! They hoard them like they’re golden tickets. LOL! Guess I should be careful when they go to spend them!

They’d be accepted if they were $3 bills.

$2 bills are neither that old, nor are many of them rare.

You can go the bank and get brand new crisp $2 bill right now. My brother-in-law, LOL, is so cheap...he gets a stack on a regular basis and instead of leaving the correct tip for his meals at lunches, he leaves only a new $2 bill with his name signed on it - as if the server will be so enthralled to get a $2 bill they’ll forget he should have left four more dollars. Some people’s kids, I swear.

Should have paid with a silver certificate, then demanded silver in change. Fully legitimate.
