Conservative pundit Ann Coulter hit back at Comedy Central after she was the target of a brutal roasting session intended for Rob Lowe.
Eight designated comedians and retired quarterback Peyton Manning teased Rob Lowe for his 1988 sex tape and some of his failed projects - but saved their most ferocious jokes for Coulter.
Comedian David Spade acted as roast master during Saturday's taping, assisted by Manning, English comedian Jimmy Carr, SNL star Pete Davidson, stand-up comedian Nikki Glaser, singer Jewel, Karate Kid actor Ralph Macchio, former Daily Show correspondent Rob Riggle and Comedy Central roasts alum Jeff Ross.
In discussing her feelings after the roasting session, Coulter, who is promoting her book, In Trump We Trust: E Pluribus Awesome!, told The Hollywood Reporter that she's not sure how she became the target of the session.
'I have no idea, but it probably has something to do with Comedy Central's corporate decision to move away from comedy — which is paying huge dividends with the Larry Wilmore and Trevor Noah shows,' Coulter said.
In hitting back about people joking about her death at the taping, Coulter said: 'I'm sure there are lots of funny jokes about people dying. These weren't those.
'Nothing offends me. 'Bored me' is a different story.'
Coulter said that she has 'no idea' how or why she was invited to the roast for Lowe, as it 'showed up on (her) book publicity schedule.'

Odd kind of roast where the subject of the roast and the other guests insult a guest.
I don’t think the know what a roast is.
But I’m sorry to see Payton Manning involved in it, and—the ‘rats are frightened.
The comments were terrible. I read thru them all and was appalled.
I have been watching roasts since the early 60s and your comment indicates to me you don’t understand the art of roasting. Hosts and guests have been insulting each other since George Jessel the toastmaster general himself.

I’ve seen and been to a few. The ‘guest of honor’ is roasted and tries to give as good as he gets.
How many roasts have you been to, as I alluded to above, where the object and all the guests concentrated their spleen on one attendee?
Like I said, I’ve never seen it.
Going into the article itself, it appears they had lots of material prepped to ambush her with.
As a postscript, most of the entertainers I’ve known (through my talent agent wife) were hardcore lefties.
And this was their chance to ignore Lowe and pile-on Ann.
Surprised about Ralph Macchio. Makes me sad. Peyton Manning too. These people have sold their soul for the approval of a pack of hyenas who ain’t worth spit.
To what end? To attack Don Trump?
She may have “the face of a horse” but she’s our horse............ For now, until she does something stupid again.
Yeah, it’s standard to ding everyone in the room but I’m sure all the lefties pounded an extra slam or two on Coulter, just because of her politics.
