Who the hell said they were a larger threat at this time? I said BOTH the Russians and the islamo nazis were serious threats that we need to deal with. Russia obviously is a more organized force with a large profession military, nukes, and a whole lot more. The commie left, btw, basically still supports Russia. That's Russia, who maintains to this day close alliances with many leftist regimes, from those in Latin America to North Korea and Red China.

Are you suggesting that he will return the Czar’s remains to the well or wherever the Bolsheviks threw them? He has basically led a religious revival in Russia, which if nothing else will provide a foundation for resistance to any effort to restore the Bolshevik movement or influence.
Not at all. I think Putin is trying to lie low on this, and be neutral, as he doesn’t want to offend the Bolshevik supporters nor the supporters of the Czar.
I wouldn’t expect to see any official commemoration.
I think the 100th anniversary will be low key. Putin dislikes Lenin and the revolution, because it allowed Poland, Baltics and Finland to escape the empire. He likes Stalin as under him Poland, Baltics, parts of Finland and much more were brought under Moscow’s boot.
