Full Title: You MUST deliver Brexit: Civil servants are warned by May after former chief sparks fury by saying that leaving EU is not inevitable

-Theresa May has ordered all Europhile civil servants to embrace Brexit

-She said it was their job to implement the decisions made by ministers

-Came after a top mandarin said that leaving the EU was 'not inevitable'

-Gus O'Donnell made the comments saying the UK could remain 'aligned' to the EU

Theresa May has ordered Europhile civil servants to embrace Brexit after a former top mandarin sparked fury by saying leaving the EU was not inevitable.

Gus O’Donnell, the former Cabinet Secretary, said that despite the clear referendum result the country could end up remaining in a ‘broader, more loosely aligned’ European Union.

Tory backbenchers said the comments by the ex-head of the civil service illustrated the mindset infecting Whitehall which is overwhelmingly pro-Europe. One Conservative MP called for officials who sought to defy the will of the people to be summarily fired.

Interesting that former civil servant, Lord O'Donnell publicly admits that the government should defy the clearly expressed will of the voters.

Anybody who trusts May on this is a fool. I have no doubt she intends to back door Britain back into the EU at a later date.

That might be a good thing. We are overdue for a great cleansing. The ones to be removed are identifying themselves.

“Tory backbenchers”

I at first read “backsliders”, but I may not have been far off.

Something’s gotta break loose. These idiots think they rule the world. They need to be made to rue the day they first had such thoughts...

Change ‘rule’ to own, it’s closer.

Good for May, assuming she is sincere.

As for the others, it doesn’t make any difference which country a statist NWO globalist is from. They are all on the take for money from that rotten old corpse George Soros, who is pushing the entire agenda behind the EU and their self-destructive policies.

I think it’s time to bring out my dvds of Yes, Minister. Lord O’Donnell is reminding me of Sir Humphrey.

Anyone who's a fan of Yes,Minister/Prime Minister knows that that's not a sure thing. There are probably more than a few Sir Humphreys in the British civil service just as surely as there are more than a few filthy Marxist “public sector” folks in DC.

I loved that show. I think that Sir Humphery rather reflected and still reflects some civil servants feeling that they are the real government. Politicians, for all their deep and multiple flaws can be removed.

It almost takes an act of God to remove a civil servant. My wife is a DOD employee, her boss desperately wants to fire several civilian employees. However, no previous manager built a discipline packet, so they think they are invincible.

IIRC the ordinary people never got a real up/down vote about being forced in, what makes them think them voting for out makes a difference to the same lot wanting them in?

As one European said (paraphrase) ordinary people voting on national destiny is against everything they stand for.

+1
Alas Sir Antony Jay, creator and savant for the series, recently died. He had some choice insights into the ideologically driven progressive elitist media as well as.
He will be sadly missed.

Lord O’Donnell should be arrested immediately, along with any other government puke who defies the will of the people. We need that to happen in the US as well.

Interviews on the dvd with surviving members of the show confirm they used real-life events to be reflected in the show. I have no doubt the modern Sir Humphreys are panicking!
