Louisiana Flood Victims See Less Public Support Compared to Sandy, Katrina

16 BATON ROUGE, Louisiana – Despite historic flooding across the southeast region of Louisiana, relief volunteers and organizations still say that donations have not matched the needs of those affected

Sherry Buresh, the director of the U.S. Disaster Response for All Hands Volunteers out of Mattapoisett, Massachusetts, said her team could certainly use more volunteers in helping to rebuild the area.

Buresh is pleading for not only more volunteers, but for Americans to donate to disaster relief efforts for the state, a gesture that GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump gave national attention to when he was taped unloading supplies he donated to flood victims in the region.

Brad Kieserman, the vice president of Disaster Operations and Logistics for the American Red Cross told USA Today that the flooding crisis is the largest natural disaster since Superstorm Sandy.

“The more volunteers that come in, the quicker we can get people taken care of,” Buresh told USA Today.

Obama doesn’t care.
Hillary doesn’t care.
The media doesn’t care.

Trump answered the call.

Katrina victims got a lot of publicity because the media was using them to demonize Bush. The media would let this batch die rather than shame Obama.

“Would make good press.”

I wish. More likely the headline would be “Trump politicizes Louisiana’s suffering” or “Trump raises funds on back of poor Louisianans”. There is no good press for Trump in the mainstream media.

Bad imagery. Instead of helpless blacks sitting on rooftops waiting for help, you have self sufficient whites helping each other and telling the government to pound sand. It does nothing to further the agenda.

Given the accuracy of your statement I was a bit surprised that they didn’t name the then recently discovered fault that caused the Haiti earthquake the “Bush’s Fault”.

Yes, because Katrina was turned into “Bush hates blacks”.

From the article:

“”The plight of the “Cajun Navy” – the informal group of Louisiana citizens who used their private boats to rescue countless thousands of people from the flood waters.

“”In recent days, the Cajun Navy has been blocked from doing its job by zealous government officials who can’t stand the idea of individuals acting outside of their authority.

“” Washington Times: “They were being friendly and they weren’t saying anything to us, but it was very clear that they were blocking things off,” said Mr. Achord. “It looked like they were purposefully getting in our way, and then they were directing traffic away from where people were putting their boats in the water.””

Katrina could be used to falsely bash Bush during his first election campaign, so Obola cared.

Sandy happened right during Obola’s reelection campaign, so he cared.

There are no political points to be made caring about Louisiana crackers, so who cares?

Grown-ups are in charge in Louisiana. The hysterical BLM-types are not the focus of all news all the time. People are just going about their business helping each other. Obama is showing his shallow/ me orientation.

Trump needs to also go after the Obama administration for their efforts against the “Cajun Navy”. Those are the people who are rescuing victims of the flooding with their own boats, fuel, etc.

Now- there are cries for REGULATION of these VOLUNTEERS!!!

Is there anything that Obama cannot keep his hands off? Another Agenda 21 situation? Go after VOLUNTEERS????

Franklin Graham, Samaritan’s Purse, Baptists for Christ, etc. haven’t forgotten those who lost their homes & possessions. The faithful don’t wait for government or celebrities.
