Where Do Criminals Get Their Guns?

Another fallacy that is disabused in this survey (which states it follows in a long line of other surveys) is that more background checks will change anything in terms of how criminals get guns. Since they typically do not walk into an FFL making background checks more demanding, is not going to decrease the use of guns in crimes. For ordinary citizens, they must and do comply with the gun laws no matter how they acquire their guns.

As I stated previously, it appears to me the anti-gun people are creating laws to restrict the activities of law-abiding citizens. That is because to stop the activities of criminals would be real work as opposed to law-abiding citizens who they can oppress with new laws because by definition they “follow the law.”

This survey almost completely validates that nearly all of the proposals coming from anti-gun people will do little to stop the criminals.

Well, some inaccuracies but overall, basically, "new and improved" firearm laws, as always, only effect law abiding folks. Even though nannie bloomers and the momunists have sworn that if Question 1 on the Nevada ballot this Nov. passes, it will stop ALL criminals from getting firearms* and will finally put and end to domestic violence in the state. So far they've cranked over $3 million into their effort. The last I checked, the PRO 2ND folks have managed to pony up about $30,000.00. Unfortunately the IPOS/LPOS/SPOS/UPOS will go for the bigger money. VOTE NO ON QUESTION 1 IN NV this NOV.

*That's what the signature obtainers were telling the mostly women who signed the petition to get it on the ballot.

Hmmm. Not the gunshow loophole either? LOL! We all “know” where the get them but more laws will stop that. Right? Er, not so much.

My dad had some work done on his home about 20 years ago and he found a workman in his bedroom. My dad didn’t think anything of it - the guy said he was looking for a bathroom - until he looked later and his gun was missing. He didn’t see the guy steal it and the business owner contested it was his worker that stole it.

I told him to check all of his window latches in case the guy left one open so he and his buddies could come back later.

My son was burglarized and all his guns stolen last week. He has gotten 7 rifles back, no pistols, but only because he took it into his own hands and made the sheriff department do something. There are 2 guys in jail and one of them finally sang.

My kids were burglarized and had a number of long guns and a pistol stolen. A few months later, another house in their development was broken into and the perps surprised the homeowner (didn't think anyone was home) and murdered 2 of them, one in his bed. Cops never linked the 2 (lazy, prints were lifted from my kids Break-in) or checked to see if the murder weapon was one taken from them.

Needless to say, they moved from that neighborhood and lock up the "not standby" weapons now...

Criminals get guns from criminals unless they steal them.

Where Do Criminals Get Their Guns?

From the trunk of the car parked on the corner next to the gang HQ.

Before we enact new laws, maybe we should enforce the ones we already have.

I have a safe and it may not be the greatest but it is firmly mounted to the floor and wall. I saw a video of two guys breaking a safe open after they knocked it over. Much better position for leverage with their tools. Had it open in under two minutes if I remember correctly. Sadly, mine is empty after the tragedy. Yup. Boat.

With all the shootings in the inner cities it is evident there is no problem obtaining a handgun for the criminal element

I have a question as to how so many can be stolen

What do people leave them in their cars on their front porches

This is a legitimate question ?

Never leave ANY workman in your home you aren’t personally escorting. NEVER.

I always felt like if you have guns or dogs that burglars would leave you alone. Sadly I was wrong.

Our neighbors have 2 English Mastiffs, 200 pounds each. Burglars broke in slammed a door on the dogs and ransacked the master bedroom. So much for dogs!

Good thing the people were not at home because they don’t have any guns.
