Very true. On the website you can see the poor skewed cam sort of at a weird angle...still showing a corner of the nest. The other camera is off and on. Hope we don’t lose our owls over this! :(

I hadn’t checked Cam 2 in a while and yeow! Not sure when that happened. It was fine well after the one branch broke. So was Cam 1.

Looks like the whole thing is going. I do hope they go up and get the nest to move to another tree. If Decorah can build a whole new nest, Savannah can move that one.

Should be easier since owls aren’t picky about their nest! LOL! They had talked at one point about trying something like Decorah, but not sure what the options for other trees are....or the lay of the land there on that golf course.

There are plenty of trees there. It's a matter of finding one that nest will fit in. And getting power to the cam. I found the clump of trees where the nest is using Google Earth last year and marked it.

I don't know if there are any other abandoned eagle nests in the area so I hope they'll try to keep this one for them. Great Horned don't build nests themselves.

Wow...that tree looked plenty green then! Wonder what happened to it.

Guess I’d better REALLY take off now. I’m gonna regret it in the morning if I don’t. LOL!

Talk tomorrow night...more tunes, more fun!

I think the nest tree wasn’t really visible being surrounded by all the others. That’s as close as I could zoom in. Maybe there was a little green still at the top but it’s been pretty much dead since I first found the nest cam.

Good luck getting through tomorrow without being a grumpypuss. You know you have my sympathies. :-)

Good night and sleep well.

Money would be right...BUSY day and I had to leave early (an hour later than expected) to let the cleaning ladies in. They were waiting when I got here. As I gave them a key I told them I was entrusting my Mom to them. I’ve been promised the same two each time. They’ve had a couple chances how to come in, find Mom, talk to her a little, understand there will probably be some confusion, etc, etc. I feel comfortable with them, so won’t need to come home each time.

And....the stuff I just don’t have time to get to, and/or don’t want to do, gets done.

Any idea where my Mom left one pair of her glasses? I’ve stripped her bed, moved her bed all the way out, gone over every surface in the office, living room, and kitchen...I can’t find them. Thankfully I can still locate two. They HAVE to be here somewhere, upstairs, and only in the rooms she goes into. *sigh* I give up for tonight.

Well, good. Having someone to help with the housework, and be a little company for your mom, sounds like a plan. Takes a little of the load off with less for you to do around the house. Does your mom seem to be comfortable with them?

Those glasses could be anywhere. Probably in the oddest place in the house that you’ll never think to look. That seems to be how that sort of thing goes. LOL! At least she has back-ups but I gather they’re older ones?
Maybe after some sleep you’ll be able to find them tomorrow. Hope so!

Oh, can I ever relate to that!

Mrs. spel loses things all of the time. One time she lost her keys. I found them in the.....get ready for this.....freezer! ;-)

At least you found them! LOL

Hubby’s aunt lost her glasses right before she went into the nursing home and we never found them. She’s a hoarder and her part of the house has been like a black hole, sucking up everything. Once in a while we’d get lucky and find something she’d lost but many times not. And even though we’ve been cleaning it up slowly but surely, we haven’t found those glasses. She’s wearing a pair of old ones. But at 99, her vision is so bad it really doesn’t matter to her. She said she wasn’t going to bother to get new ones at this late stage.

They weren’t in the freezer at least. Her fridge and freezer are the first thing I cleaned out!
