Unless I was out of town, this summer I have bowled almost every day wearing my Trump hat and have managed to convert people, even millenials.
Up in lights on the scoreboard I have used several names: Lock Her Up, Hillary Sux, Never Hillary, No Hillary, No Hillary Ever, Hillary Is Evil --- well, you get the point. Some people don't like it, but too bad. It gives me a chance to have conversations.

Bowling? Hmm. Sadly. Wagon Wheel alley in Oxnard closed. Local bowlers are grieving. I bowled once. It was cool. Pray for our country.
Wow, could actually use that approach when giving the hostess your name to be called when your table is ready.
“Your table will be ready in 10 minutes, your name please?”
“My name is Locker Rupp. That’s Rupp with two Ps and Locker like school locker. Just like it sounds. I know, my parents were not good at names.”
Them’s some pretty good lines...but it looks like the 10-pin got real sticky on ya late in the 3rd game. ;-)
This has been a fun summer. Two local lanes had summer specials. For $30, you get three games a day every day of the summer. Perhaps they didn’t count on it but I bought two passes in Upland and two in Rancho Cucamonga. I can’t believe others didn’t think to do that. So I have been bowling 12 games a day most of the summer. LOL. I’m tired, especially because I throw a 16-pound ball. That is a lot of practice and I’m bowling better than I ever have in my life. Have come close but no 300 yet, although I’ve taken it to the 10th five times. Last week I finally had a three game set of 806. Never thought I’d do that. 290-257-259. Because of the passes, by the time it ends in the first week of September, I will have probably spent about 15 cents per game. That beats $3.49 and $4.49 a game.
Yep, the dreaded 10 pin. A couple weeks ago I had 13 of them in six games. That is frustrating.
I have used Trump. When they call it, everyone looks up.
Wow, awesome. I had my best game at about 16 or 17 yrs old. It was a 232 out of nowhere. Unfortunately, I broke my middle finger in a bar brawl when I was about 20. Long story but I was protecting my aunt at the time and ended up punching a marble dance floor. It severed my finger bone at the knuckle. I never had my finger set right, I was stubborn and never went to the doc or hospital in time. By the time I went they said it would be a horrible process to re-break the finger and set it again. Also would be very expensive so I just learned to live with it.
I’m still a pro level bassist and guitarist so I have been able to rehabilitate it to some degree over the years.
There’s two things that I cannot do because of my finger anymore. One is snap my fingers on my right hand because my finger’s at a funny angle. I can snap all day with my left finger of course, but with my right hand it never makes enough contact to make any snapping sound. The other thing I can’t really do is Bowling. The ball will just not release from that finger right at all so I have no accuracy anymore. I used to like to bowl from time to time when I was young. Nowadays I just play golf.
Have not played golf in probably 15 years. Lower back problem and left thumb area has arthritis problem. And golf got so expensive and takes so much time. I can bowl six games within an hour and get back to working.
Cool Doug, I wish I could still bowl. My brother bowls every week on his league night at the Cucamonga bowling alley. He’s been doing it for years. I think he’s president of his league or at least he has been.
You could clean up in a league with an avg like yours.
No way when did that happen. The bowling alley in woodland hills got renovated called the bolero haven’t gone.i guess been awhile . I like the trump bowl idea

and lastly, I agree with others Doug, your scores are awesome! My mother used to use a 16 lb. ball in her younger days, don’t know how she threw that thing!
Lastly again, wow, you got 7 strikes in a row in that one game. I once had 6 but blew once I realized all eyes were upon me, all the league ladies started noticing my streak.
Looks like you are hitting a little high on the left.
Work on the velocity or scootch a little to the right...
