Ryan Lochte may finally be starting to feel the effects of his lie about being robbed at gunpoint in Rio.

On Monday, Speedo, Ralph Lauren, Airweave, and Syneron Candela all terminated their contracts with the swimmer, costing him approximately $1 million in annual sponsorship money that would have likely gone toward paying for his training for Tokyo 2020.

Say what you like about this and that, but the Rio Olympics were a titanic black eye for both Brazil and the IOC.

I was like whatever until I heard he was an Obama supporter, then it all made sense.

Imagine if the press went after slick Hilly they way they’ve gone after Lochte. Locthe was tried, convicted and punished by the press. His biggest crime? He’s a white, heterosexual male.

Holding politicians to that standard might be too much to ask, but holding Media types (Brian Williams) to that standard seems to be more that reasonable

Looks like he’s gonna have a get a REAL job. (Like parlay that penchant for lying into a Democratic political career)

I remember disliking Ryan Lochte from the previous Olympics, but I don’t remember why. Does anyone remember anything he did wrong or bad or stupid or annoying back then?

The difference between the two is that Phelps is more than just an athlete. He's become a household name. Heck -- even I know who Michael Phelps is ... and I've never watched a single Olympic swimming event since his career started.

This Lochte dude is a different story. If it weren't for the incident with the Brazilian police, he would have been unknown to a lot of Americans.

But, he lied to his mother! Never lie to your mother!

Yeah, instead give your blabbermouth mother the truth about corrupt Rio cops - while she's still in Rio.

What could possibly go wrong?
