Excellent reply. Massad Ayoob testified to that in a case, if I am not mistaken. Perp was a threat, shooter made the decision to shoot, perp turned, but Ayoob showed reaction time was such that the defender couldn’t turn it off fast enough to not put shots in the perp’s back.

Shooter got off because of the physical limitations of reaction time.
