It has become known as a mecca of violent crime and poverty, and now a viral video is giving an unpleasant view of Detroit after dark. The clip, called Driving through Detroit at night, was filmed by a woman who was a passenger in a car going around the Motor City and was posted to Twitter at the weekend. It shows terrifying scenes of gangs gathered on the sidewalk, prostitutes lifting up their skirts and dancing, and even a man being run over by a car on purpose.

Greektown to the RenCen is less than a mile walk, and not really through the worst parts. Sure, 5+ years ago, it was still a bit seedy, but nothing like that which this video is showing. We are talking about the part of town “across the freeway” (West of I-94 through to about the Southfield Freeway).

Honestly, though, I am from Albany, NY and we had areas nearly as bad or worse 20 years ago. Many of them, you pretty much had to drive through to get down town, right off the highway. They were far worse in the warm weather when they were all out. Though, yeah, the burning fires in the streets, that was the regular in the cooler weather.
This is nothing new, just the natural habitat and living in the ruins of a once functional society.
As long as you were totally aware of your surroundings and the people around you and able to sprint away in a moment, or armed, or both, you were ok.
Can get you same pictures in Stockton, Oakland and Sacramento etc, its bad out there and NO one but The Donald is offering them help.
Probably about thirty years ago, a number of people I knew at a convention in Detroit did the same thing, and all reported being asked by blacks if they were okay, with serious concern. In the same trip, I asked directions from a hotel clerk to a mall. I wondered why she directed me through the worst part of town to the shopping center...until I drove around some more and saw that all parts of the city were like that.

Detroit is the logical conclusion of Democrat policies, and if they are allowed to, the Dems will turn every city into Detroit. It’s a template.
