A wave of sexual assaults and fatal Islamist attacks in Europe have some German politicians calling for a loosening of gun-control laws.

The leader of the Alternative for Germany party, Frauke Petry, said in a recent interview that Islamist attacks in Germany and elsewhere suggest that the German people should be able to arm themselves with firearms and other means of self-defense.

"Many people are increasingly feeling unsafe. Every law-abiding citizen should be in a position to defend themselves, their family and their friends," Petry said.

"We all know how long it takes until the police can get to the scene, especially in sparsely populated places," she added.

And thus she'll be called a nazi. Kinda weird since the nazi's and the mooselmbs had the same goals of eradicating the jews. Now the radical mooselimbs want to eradicate everybody. Comply or die. Good luck getting the e.u. to go along with that. E.U.=essentially, usless.

Rights once given up are difficult, if not impossible, to regain.

The Nazis were the ones who pushed gun control. So she’s really an anti-Nazi. And that isn’t tolerated by the fascist media.

The Germans were some of the first to start using Jager rifles in Europe back in the 1400s.
In the USA, German “Schützenfests” were common until WWI when everything German suddenly became bad.

Im not sure your statement makes sense. A right is just that whether you exercise it or not. Its not given by govt but is recognized to be such outside of law. Now you might have to come to blows over its exercise but thats part of the territory.

They already have the right to bear arms.

What they don’t have is the freedom to exercise that right.

Hallelujah! God's Truth is marching on!

We are endowed by our Creator with an unalienable right to defend our life.

Maybe we should do air drops to supply the German people with the right to protect themselves?

Germany is becoming a lot like America where people who want the ability to defend themselves are called wing-nuts, haters, right-wing crazies, Bitter Clingers and much worse.

They had to learn the hard way why guns are the best means to protect yourself when the bad guys already have them. Our founding fathers knew. That’s the reason they included the phrase! “these rights shall not be infringed”. They knew there would be tyrants who would try to deceive the people into giving up that right so they could place their foot against the throats of the common people.

Oh, you mean those evil right wing radical extremists? The ones that want the politicians to uphold the constitution like they swore to do? Like I did in ‘67 and am still committed under the oath I took? Those guys? ;-)

Probably due to massive Wilsonian progressive propaganda.

Any comments, PA?

I've often asserted that the 2nd Amendment applies to the whole planet, but some governments just haven't got the memo yet.

She has an unexpected ally in Marine Le Pen, leader of the National Front in France, who also advocates for gun liberty and leads a much more powerful political party.

Both the socialists and the liberals that call themselves conservatives in France have ganged up to prevent her from getting power, but she is getting stronger, and they are getting weaker.

Schutzenfest? Sounds like fun!

Where can I get an invite?

:)

(I am curious about what festivities such an event would occasion, besides the obvious. Beer, wurst, trap, skeet, pop ups?)
