We were supposedly fighting to defeat Communism.
The French told us THEY couldn’t fight the Indochina War - but we convinced (and paid and armed) them to do so. We never learned the most basic lesson from their war: The Vietnamese wanted independence regardless of political labels.
Yet somehow the US never fought the USSR; in fact, we gave them Eastern Europe.
Blame that on Roosevelt’s influence. He was a great admirer of Uncle Joe. Churchill tried to warn him, but toward the end, Roosevelt ignored Churchill and buddied up with Stalin. He was always a lefty and even had a budding Commie as his veep until the last election when he realized his veep could hurt his reelection, so he changed a pro Commie for a haberdasher.
We “fought” the Cold War so don’t say we never fought the USSR. We won, as I recall. The USSR exists no more.
The USSR is gone but being cobbled back together, while we have a communist president. This isn’t 1989 anymore...
Few believed what 1989 would bring. 2016 is going to bring back Freedom with Trump, regardless of what the CommieDems try to do.!
We’ll see how this works out; Obama’s 2012 re-election despite constant failures, and the fact that Hillary is even in this race, are bad omens for the future of this country (and indicators of massive communist support).
I do not allow negative thinking to control me. We will bring back America with Trump!
