Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is reaching out to the African-American community these days, and in a new interview with Newsweek, at least part of that community is reaching back. Chicago rapper, actor, and White House invitee Common doesnt seem to be persuaded by Trumps newfound concern for black voters, if this interview is any indication:
America wouldnt be taking a step back wed be taking 12 steps back [if Trump becomes president], the Chicago-born musician and activist tells Newsweek. It would be returning to some of the mentality of racism weve seen in the mid-Sixties, in the civil rights era. It would be returning to some of the actual racism that existed in slave days.
Common also told the magazine that hes #WithHer, and that the country is ready for a woman president:
My hopes and beliefs are that Hillary Clinton can be elected. I feel like having a woman as president is needed at this point, says Common. Lets bring new energy into it. Our president [Barack Obama] has already done the best he can at getting the country going in the right direction. If Hillary can continue that movement and make things better for the country thats my hope. Im speaking up for Hillary because we cant allow Trump to get into office. Thats not acceptable.
Amid criticism from cultural conservatives, Common performed at the White House in May of 2011.

I see Common has no trouble getting income from the white man? He was in a TV series I used to watch. I am glad they took him off of it.
They are really getting desperate and are grasping at straws. A poll shows Trump leading by 5 in Pennsylvania. The “new” Trump is less bombastic, and is catching on, because there are so few people who really want Clinton as president, her support is as solid as warm mush.
An entire idoleogy based on lying to the people.
Common....exactly where here in USA do they even grow cotton anymore?
Well chit!
That's that then...
Ain't no wonderin' 'bout it.
Straight chit from a rapper.
Don't get no more righteous than that.
Ignorance runs deep
I always thought Trump was a Democrat.
With Obammy...these people are slaves to the government.
Yup. That’s the plan. Just like the tied shoe laces resemble a noose and we know what that means. DUMBASS! “Histeree? Wut that is?”
Just a “common” idiot.
We shoulda picked our own dang cotton.
This guy is an idiot. Talentless, stupid and disgusting is no way to go through life...unless you “hang with” the nobamas. Get out of the White House, you bum.
The stupidity...it hurts.
Common, rapper from the murder capital of the world, doesn’t have much sense.

Trump’s outreach to Blacks is clearly rattling some cages on the Left.
It will be a battle for the hearts and minds. Those with the smartest minds will wake up and vote smartly, those who fill out all those blank voter forms for $25 will remain slaves to their masters. If black voters want to prove how smart they are, all they have to do is break away from the Democrat plantation. Those who want to become all they can be, will go with Trump, those who are satisfied with the way they are on the Gov’t. hand outs, will remain locked in place. Vote FREEDOM, Vote Trump.
This is what they do. Anybody who gets in their way is branded a racist. These people are morally corrupt.
Chirap is Ameriscum, black ameriscum
May I remind “Common” that it was the Democrats who were the architects of the opposition to the Civil Rights Act, the Voting Rights Act and ...Aw forget it. These Charlatans are so Diggins ignorant whatever “Common” says is considered wisdom. SMH.
Just representin’...
Trump is the best thing to happen to Blacks since Reagan’s day. Being an economic powerhouse, he may wind up being a lot better for them.
He’s going to reduce unemployment, increase wealth, and family situations in the Black communities.
This guy should tell us who the last Democrat president was that accomplished that.
