I agree that Powell is corrupt and I would never trust him, but he DID say that he has NO recollection of suggesting Liary use her own personal email server.

Is that the same "I cannot Recall" that hillary used in her testimony before the seante?

There are other relevant distinctions too, easy ones to draw. For example, what connection with Goldman Sachs does Bannon have now? And, FWIW, your question cements my impression of you.

As always and with everyone. Inconvenient comments cause reactions, good, bad or otherwise

Did Bannon work on a proposed North American Union?

Mrs. Cruz and her work on the NAU concerns me far more than any work Mrs. Cruz did at Goldman Sachs.

I am going to step back for a moment and re-phrase this argument.

Of course there are Americans who will do any kind job. My statement that an American won’t mow my lawn is incorrect.

Although, ahem, I simply cannot get an American to do my lawn because, well I don’t have the luxury of picking my lawn up and taking it all around, shop it so to speak. And yeah, I would gladly pay more money than I pay Beelow to do my lawn, if not for any reason that I hate doing business when we can’t fully understand each other.

But.....butbutbut....it all depends for what amount of money would Americans want for doing any job and what employer is willing to pay it. Indeed, to say that there are jobs Americans won’t do is wrong. But to spout statistics of Americans doing all sorts of jobs leaves out that bit about for how much?

At this point the answer becomes complicated, I assert. But in no manner is it so simple to just say Americans won’t do a job, nor mention that Americans doing a job has a caveat of a stated amount before accepting.

I don’t have the answers but I know it’s a problem. And as with everything, the gubmint is not the solution. These are not the people to be deciding wages. As for immigration, there should be a logical and fair and DOCUMENTED system to allow immigrants in. Right now it’s like if you can sneak in then you are a citizen.

Of course this is not how you run a country.

This thing about Colin Powell was, to no one’s surprise, deliberately an attempt to pass the blame on Hillary’s part.

Colin Powell was Secstate in 2004, a time when email was kind of new and such as email servers in the bathroom linen closet was unheard of.

Obviously Powell never confided to Clinton that she should set up her own server, goodness the man would never have heard of such a thing.

So Powell got thrown under the bus. Although it couldn’t happen to a more deserving guy.

Heh.

I think you have him mixed up with me. Rush was an idiot during the primaries and is finally coming out of his coma.

Levin is useless. He thinks he is a great economist and knows nothing about it. He should stick to the Constitution.

Mrs. Cruz and her work on the NAU concerns me far more than any work Mrs. Cruz did at Goldman Sachs.

Mr. Trump announced a team of financial advisers on Aug. 5. One of them

Steven Mnuchin, who is CEO of Dune Capital Management, a private investment firm, and was an executive as Goldman Sachs. Mnuchin raised eyebrows when Trump picked him as finance chair because he contributed multiple times to Hillary Clinton when she was a senator from New York.

As always, everyone uses the arguments that suit them AT THE TIME. People change their minds all of the time

I’m afraid the country is in a situation now that limits will have to b placed on welfare which will destroy the country financially if they aren’t just to get people back to work.

Alas, Mormonism is a valid discussion on this thread. It is a major reason Romney won the nomination and lost the General. I know Christians who voted for 10 straight elections and did not vote for him due to his cult. Trump will not have that issue.

Him running the worst campaign ever also contributed.

No I do not have you two mixed up. People choose to listen to others who share their point of View. Rush has always been who he has always been.

It just do happens that some did not agree with Rush's comments during the primary. Now that he is supporting the Republican nominee, Rush is no longer an idiot. How very convenient.

When I bashed Rush he deserved it. Even now I have issues with him when greats stories come along and he ignores them.
But proving my stuff to everyone is never a goal. I just tell it like it is.You for instance have always been a trouble maker I doubt you will ever change.

No, he stopped his snarky remarks he always made about Trump. His undying support of Cruz was a turnoff to most Trump supporters and have moved to other hosts.

Myself, I like Laura much more. She gets why the average American likes Trump.

I dunno. Weird question, really.

Might as well ask, So, since Cruz breaths air, and now Trump does too, doesn't that mean they're the same?

Cruz is not the nominee. Trump is. And also, Hillary is the nominee of the other party. I'm hoping and helping Donald to beat her. That's all that matters in my mind.

You need to take up the snark with those who, back then, were speaking it. I wasn't.

Bannon is 62 years old and worked for Goldman when he was in his 30’s. Read his bio and cut the crap.

I can’t speak for what happened in Delaware, but here in Alabama most lawn service guys are blacks or rednecks. Very few Latinos.

Maybe it’s just the demographics.

I went up to the Boston area to teach a class a couple of months ago. Saw many white lawn service guys. also, more Latinos, perhaps Brazilians even doing this, but it was even 50 percent Latinos.

Even so, I do believe the ready access that illegals have to doing work for very low prices is keeping ALL of our collective wages down. That hurts all of us, too.

I don’t have a lawn guy; they cost too much, hence I’m out and about running into trees and stuff. Still, if I did, I’d want to pay him/her what they’re worth, but I’d also like to see my own wages go up. They have not for 15 years. In other words, I get about the same to teach a one week class as I did back in 2000. I’m happy to get that, as I don’t get anything when I’m not teaching at all. And I’ve had way too many of those weeks!

To Kabar: Why is it only Western nations seem to get criticized for not taking in enough foreigners? It seems to me no one makes a big deal about the Japanese, Mexicans, Chinese or Indonesians not taking in anybody. So why does the Left insist we do? It seems anti Caucasian.

I don’t think we’re ever going to put much of a stop on legal immigration. If anything, if we can get illegal immigration to go down, we’ll probably increase legal immigration. I don’t have an answer to this and the possible results. Is it far-fetched to hope that most will learn to be Americans first, even conservatives, over the course of the years. After all, we’ve done that, to a great extent, with the previous 19th century immigrants from Europe. I can tell you that black Africans and Caribbeans are much more conservative and entrepreneurial than blacks born in the USA.

Well, ok, but which Mormon is running now? The Romney campaign, thank God, is history. He was a loser, and is now on the ash heap of history.

The Trump candidacy in a way owes its success to the disaster that was the Republican Party and Mitt Romney’s ascension and failure.

AND....I get my nails done every week and every single worker is guess? VIETNAMESE!

My young life was dominated, dictated and dizzy due to Vietnam and my young husband who wanted to move to Canada rather than go fight.

Yes....Delaware is a welcome mat for illegal immigrants and no, I do not like it.

But again, those Vietnamese work their butts off. They get down on their knees and scrub peoples’ feet. They never stop, constantly working....well I don’t know what my point is.

I do live right between two chicken plants, owned by the Chinese might add. My own wonderful and hard working daughter worked there for exactly three days. She made ten bucks an hour but quit because the place smelled like chicken shit.

Why should she work for ten measly bucks an hour when she gets free money from the gubmint for being, heh, “disabled”?

This immigration thing is bigger and requires more thought than knee-jerk phrases that need more qualification.

Again, I don’t have the answers. But if I were hiring people I’d choose Beelow and his cute son and those Vietnamese people who laughed with me as we watched the Olympics (when they explained that they were NOT Chinese, heh) than my lazy American daughter.

But I’d make them be legal and I’d sit down with a bunch of people, INCLUDING THE PUBLIC LIKE ME, and come up with some answers.
