Why would Trump attend the meeting?
I-95 South traffic is already getting clogged, as usual.
If Trump is coming from an airport up north (Manassas, Dulles, etc), he’s going to have a hard time getting to the venue.
If coming from Richmond, the traffic may be ok.
Good for you. Fairly risky move, but clearly you work in a (no pun intended) healthy environment.
I bring up the election most of the times I interact with my clients, and in a light hearted way say this is the best election ever. But I always work in that I think Trump is not the person people think he is based on press and his celebrity persona. I say that I believe he is genuine, and that his big ego measures success for himself in terms of the success of others. If the remark does nothing more than open them up to consider looking at what he says, differently, it's worth it.

I had a student at Mary Washington College (now University) and coming from the Fairfax area, I always took Rts. 17 and 15 and came in “the back way” plus it’s more scenic! I still go to the Northern Neck that way.

Trump comes to Fredericksburg.
There is an awesome national park and cemetery there—the site of two Civil War battles.
The South held the high ground and the Union forces had to come through the town from the crossing the river and ascend a sloping hill. In December, 1862, this slope was a killing field for the Union.
My former pastor’s great-great grandfather was a Union soldier who fought there. He wrote a book about his four years as a Union soldier, in 1906. All his buddies perished around him. He was stranded half way up the hill. He survived by stacking their bodies around him. He said the sound of the bullets hitting their bodies was sickening. He was not rescued until nightfall, when he was able to scamper down the hill to the Union lines. The following year, he was captured on the second day of the Battle of Gettysburg in July, and witnessed Pickett’s charge the following day from the Confederate side. Amazing life.
Fredericksburg is a beautiful town, right on the Rappahannock River. Lots of shops and antique stores. A real treasure of a place.
The Civil War site is right on the edge of town and is well preserved. Very easy to imagine the battle for Civil War buffs.

CNN filmed a tractor trailer being unloaded yesterday, and the guy being interviewed said—this trailer’s contents were donated by Trump.

The rally in Fredericksburg, VA, this evening is very close to Washington, DC. Am hoping many thousands of Trump supporters turn out tonight and that a good number of African-Americans are present, supporting Trump, 100%!!!
