Syrian regime jets hit Kurdish positions, even after US warning

Syrian regime jets pounded US-backed Kurdish forces in northeastern Syria for a second day, even after the US-led coalition scrambled jets to protect its military advisers working on the ground.

In another escalation of Syria's bloody conflict, warplanes from President Bashar al-Assad's regime were bombarding the city of Hasakeh -- targeting Kurdish forces that for months have worked closely with coalition military advisers helping local fighters combat the Islamic State group.

On Thursday, the United States sent fighter jets to head off air strikes conducted by regime planes and to protect coalition advisers, but the Syrian planes had left by the time they arrived.

It was apparently the first time the coalition had scrambled jets in response to a regime action, and possibly the closest call yet in terms of Syrian forces coming close to killing American or coalition advisers.

"This was done as a measure to protect coalition forces," Pentagon spokesman Captain Jeff Davis said.

"We will ensure their safety and the Syrian regime would be well-advised not to do things that place them at risk... We view instances that place the coalition at risk with the utmost seriousness and we do have the inherent right of self-defense."

But the Pentagon warning appeared to fall on deaf ears.

98% of Kurds are Sunni Muslim which means they like to do jihad against Christians.

The Kurds attacked a Christian enclave that is local to the Syrian government; this is not quite the same as ISIS.

Then the US-led coalition military advisers on the ground approved the target and passed it on to the Kurds. That's a fine state of affairs.

Yes, Kurds were used by the Turks to do the dirty work. Quite similar to Nazis using locals (Ukrainian nationalist in particular) to kill Jews in Eastern Europe.

Quote : The genocide of Armenians by some Kurds was meticulously carried out with help from some tribal Kurds who were organized into an auxiliary force called the "Hamidiye Alaylari" or Hamidiye Brigades of the government in Constantinople.

Kurds did apologize for this too.

If Trump doesn't stop abortion, and the spread of homosexuality, then we'll never have a 'sane nation' again, and we'll never stop Islam.

It is written that God will stir up the Medes against a great nation, once a 'golden cup' in his hand, which turned to immorality and murder. Sound familiar?

Don't you worry, they will.

Kurds were betrayed by the US in Iraq. It is almost certain they will be betrayed in Syria before long too. Right now Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Syria and Russia are in agreement about the Syrian territorial integrity (Iran and Turkey sign an agreement yesterday on this).

It would be very difficult for the Sunni Alliance (US/ISIS/AQ/Saudis) to support the Kurds with this alignment.

The 101st 2nd BCT will be headed there in a month. This is more troops to stiffen the Iraqis before they take Mosul. It shows how far our readiness has fallen, this was announced the 5th of July and will not get there until after Labor Day. So much for the vaulted Division Ready Brigade 72 hr concept.

LOL....

Arming Kurds is a sure way to make Erdogan and every single Turk really upset.

Besides, supplying the Kurds long-term is impossible -- every single country around opposes it.

Pentagram spokesdouche Captain Jeff Davis said:

Esau's hubris...

The US' latest illegal war in which the US openly (OSINT) stated they are there to kill Assad and overthrow Syria...now when Assad's collateral damage might bump off some of his assassins - the CIA & its kill teams known as SOF, the US Pentagram spokesdouche threatens to kill Assad...Ya just can't make this stuff up.

Well, the US military accustomed to "wars" with 34th rate militaries typically ones with no air force or navy, will now have to contend with Russia - who isn't afraid to fight, knows how to fight, and isn't accustomed to losing wars.

I guarantee you the US sodomite and tranny 'Army of One' is the laughingstock of the Russian Army.

Thanks again, will check it out.

Yemenis are giving the Saudis a thrashing. Looks like the extravagant sums the House of Saud spent on its weapon systems, relative to poor Yemen, isn't helping much.

If it's any indication of how well they will fare against a confrontation with the future Russian/Iranian/Iraq/Turkish coalition, I'd suggest they've already lost.

Losing Turkey pretty much ended any hope Obama and his handlers may have had of bringing down Assad.

They are a HUGE reason why ISIS didn’t have strongholds in MANY other places.

Call a no fly zone and enforce it.

We can’t leave them hanging again.

Sometimes you just have to do the right thing.
